Student-run, non-profit organization at Illinois Institute of Technology. We participate in IIT's Pumpkin Launch, STEM Fest at NIU, VEXU, and more!

ITR is based out of our lab in the basement of the south building of 3424 S State street. We construct and maintain robots for the annual Jerry Sanders Design Competition every spring at UIUC. In addition we have a wealth of smaller projects that are easy to jump into and get involved in. We also volunteer and work with FIRST teams in the Chicago area, as well as volunteer at FIRST regionals and nationals.

Looking for an awesome competition to keep you busy this semester? Illinois Tech Robotics is holding our first (of hopefully many) Scarlet Combat Robotics event this semester! This competition will feature student-built robots competing in 1lb and 3lb weight classes where the goal is to destroy the other robot in a tournament. No experience required, you can compete as a group, club, or as an individual. We will match up people looking for a group if you'd like. Read more here:

Sadly, the pumpkin launch didn’t fare out so well for us this year! After attempting to adjust one of the cable tie downs for steelforce, the entire machine toppled over, cracking the arm in two. We’ll be back next year with a new and better machine (that hopefully doesn’t fall down quite so easily!)

If you want to get involved with our projects for this Fall semester, make sure to come by next Thursday, 19th of August at 8:00 p.m.
See you there!

We're doing our part to try and help during the COVID-19 pandemic, and as such we brainstormed ideas tonight about how we can build a robot to help deliver food and supplies to students in quarantine and isolation on campus. Can't wait to see how we can help out in this time of need!
