JT was on the move this weekend! 🚲🏃

JTers Febie and Jonny took advantage of the beautiful fall weather to get outside and support two great community events.

Jonny laced up for our client Our Place’s Race for Our Place 5K, helping raise support for programs that empower individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities to build independence, friendships and a sense of belonging.

Febie joined the Tour de Proviso, a community bike ride that brings together communities across Proviso Township while promoting health, wellness and connection.

A beautiful weekend to get moving for a purpose! ☀️

Join us for a screening of American Agitators Film a documentary about one of the 20th century’s most influential grassroots organizers, Fred Ross, Sr.! Over his lengthy career as a community organizer, Ross used grassroots organizing to improve working conditions for thousands of people.

This screening will feature a post-film Q&A with director Raymond Telles, executive producers Margo Feinberg & John Heffernan, and a member of the National Nurses Organizing Committee.

Do you know an inspiring woman leader who should run for office? Applications for the Illinois Women’s Institute for Leadership Training Academy’s Class of 2027 are now open!

The IWIL training academy is an eight-month program that provides the tools, training and support needed to prepare Democratic Illinois women to run for office and lead in their communities, and JT is honored to work with IWIL to facilitate an annual media training for each class. 🎤

This Hispanic Heritage Month, JT recognizes the impactful work of Step Up, Speak Out, an organization dedicated to serving immigrant communities through service and prayer one step at a time.

Father Gary Graf began a 57-day journey last October, walking to highlight the challenges faced by immigrant families nationwide. The journey brought together thousands and highlighted the compassion and humanity found in supporting our neighbors.

We are honored to support Father Gary and the work of Step Out, Speak Out.

JT was proud to join our longtime client Nourishing Hope today for the unveiling of “Radiating Hope,” a new mural by Chicago artist Anthony Lewellen at Nourishing Hope’s Sheridan Market! 🎨

The event featured remarks from Anthony, Nourishing Hope CEO Mitzi Baum, State Senator Sara Feigenholtz and Alderwoman Angela Clay, who helped celebrate the new mural and its message of hope, dignity and community. Our team was excited to help bring the event to life by providing media support and capturing social media content.

The JT team rolled up our sleeves last week for a JT Gives Back Day at The Boulevard of Chicago!

The Boulevard helps individuals experiencing homelessness in Chicago access medical care, housing, and supportive services to help them heal, stabilize, and rebuild their lives. We spent the morning outside helping spruce up their garden, from weeding to harvesting fresh fruits and veggies. 🌱 We also had the chance to connect with residents during a few spirited rounds of bingo, which was the highlight of the day!

It was a perfect way to spend a summer morning together while supporting the important work of our Chicago neighbors. 💚 Thank you to The Boulevard for having us!

Father Gary’s crew! 💙 Lauren, Jonny, and Morgan joined Step Up, Speak Out and The Resurrection Project on Friday night at the 36th Annual Back to School Misa y Fiesta. The night included a back-to-school fair, scholarship information, cultural performances, prizes, an interfaith service, and a back-to-school blessing, followed by a very special Mass led by Principal Celebrant Father Gary Graf.

JT was excited to spend our Friday night at the Zócalo celebrating our neighbors, community, and the back-to-school season. Here’s to a great school year ahead! 📚🎒
