I was feeling quite defeated awhile back, and that Satan was trying to hold me back from accomplishing some things the Lord had given me to do, when a friend gave me this verse. It encouraged and inspired me so much that I had to put a tune to it.🎶

Come to the Lord Jesus Christ. Stop trying to "work" your way to heaven. Learn of him. Put your trust in him ONLY and you will find rest for your soul.... 💕

We will all have an "end" to our days. We don't know when that will be, and tho we may try to postpone it thru better health practices, God still has an appointed day of our departure from this world.

1. Are you truly saved? (I don't mean did you pray a prayer) because anyone can "pray a prayer." A prayer will NOT save you NOR take you to heaven when you die.

"That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation."
Roman's 10:9-10

Salvation is ONLY from your HEART. What has happened in YOUR HEART? Did you repent? That means to turn from YOUR WAY to GODS WAY.... turn around and go GODS WAY which is OPPOSITE of YOUR WAY. How has your life changed?

If your life has NOT changed, then chances are, that you are still lost and on your way to hell. We are NOT saved by our good works. It is ONLY by faith.

"For by grace are ye saved through FAITH; and that NOT OF YOURSELVES: it is the gift of God: NOT OF WORKS, lest any man should boast." Ephesians 2:8-9

If we could get to heaven by being good... by something WE do, then there would not have been any purpose for God to send his son, Jesus Christ to die in our place on the cross.

So, please examine your heart and your motives in life. Are you living for YOU? Or are you living for HIM?

I have known people who went to church most of their life. They were a Sunday School teacher, a soul-winner, a very good and kind person, but they were only "going thru the motions" "doing what they thought they were supposed to do" but they had NEVER given their HEART to Christ. A CHANGE OF HEART is necessary for true salvation.

If you have doubts, pray and beg God to show you if you are truly saved or not. The devil is a liar and a deceiver who would love for you to end up in hell with him. (Send me a message to chat about this if you'd like)

2. Are you making the most of your time on this earth?

"Lord, make me to know mine end, and the measure of my days, what it is: that I may know how frail I am."
Psalm 39:4

Our days are measured... numbered. There is an unknown countdown. We are all frail. Our life could be over tomorrow. Tonight could be the last time you will sleep in your bed.

If you are saved, what have you allowed God to accomplish in your life on this earth? What will people remember about you? What are you leaving behind?

Don't wait to give your HEART to Jesus Christ. Don't wait to live your life for Him. The end is nearer than you think.

God's Word, the Bible, is our lamp to light the way for us.

Where do u turn when you are going thru difficulties? Friends, Google, music, streaming services?
All of these can help us at times, but ultimately we really just need God's Word.

God's Word gives us the light we need to guide us to the next step during the dark times in life.

Why not turn to your Bible first instead of last? There are so many great passages in Psalms alone, to help us. Just open your Bible to the book of Psalms and start reading.

Or just pray that God will show you where to read. He knows your situation and can guide you, comfort you, and instruct you in the way you should go.

Let the lamp of His Word be ALL you need for today to help light your way.

The Lord is my STRENGTH when I am weak.

HE is my ROCK when I need stability..

He is my FORTRESS when I need protection.

He is my DELIVERER when satan tries to attack me.

The Lord is the ONLY ONE I can TRUST when others fail me.

He is my BUCKLER (shield to defend me)

He is the HORN (Power) of my Salvation.

He is my HIGH TOWER (An inaccessible place of safety & refuge)

How can I ask for more? God meets my EVERY need. He is ALL I ever need and want.

My prayer lately has been, "Lord, crush my pride." "I am nothing in this world. All I have and all I do is because of you."

All glory and honor belongs to Him. I am undeserving. All I have is because He has allowed me to have it.

We don't attain anything of our own accord. God gives us life and breath. He gives us our abilities to serve Him.

I think pride is something we all struggle with. We want to take credit for something that God gave us, or something we did. We must remember that He needs to be the one sitting on the throne of our life.

Praise him everyday for all He's given you, for His patience & mercy that he shows you everyday.

Thank God for the special people He has given you in your life. Husband, wife, children, parents, family. Often we don't appreciate and thank God for what we have until we lose it.

Give Him all the glory and honor that He so rightly deserves. Thank Him for your church, your Pastor, His Word, the Bible.

Praise Him that He provided you with a good job, a house, a car, heat in winter,
A/C in summer and the ministries He's allowed you to be in.

I know He has blessed me far greater than I could ever deserve. I want Him to be FIRST in everything. I want Him to have ALL the glory, not me.

Sometimes we need only to ask God...or seek with all of our heart.

In order to find, it is required that we seek.

I have found that when I seek to know answers, God sees the sincerity of my heart and leads me to what I need.

Sometimes God hears the deepest cries of our heart...the ones that can't be spoken aloud but are so deep in our soul that only he can hear them.

Often we just do a "light asking or seeking" It's something we would "like" for God to do in our lives, but it's missing "that deep cry" from the heart.

I believe God hears us most when it's a deep cry from the depths of our soul.... no fluff, but the real stuff...what really means the most to us sincerely. Our heart's cry.

Sometimes my heart's cry says, "God, please...this is your child begging you...."

What parent would not want to meet the sincere cry of their child's heart?

I pray that you are his child and that you know him, and that you can ask with a sincere heart...a pure heart. You must first seek to know him.

You must draw yourself nigh (near him) then he will draw nigh (near you)

"Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you. Cleanse your hands, ye sinners; and purify your hearts, ye double minded."
James 4:8

For a person to be saved, they must first seek to know God. God doesn't force his way into our lives. He must be sought for and invited in.

“And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart.”
Jeremiah 29:13

What is your heart's cry today? He cares and he knows. Ask, Seek & Knock in order to find what your soul needs.
