This is Dashing and he is a very good looking pup. He is neutered and ready to go home now. Dashing is very sweet and once he gets his sniffs out he is ready to snuggle. I’d guess he’s about 45 pound and at least 2 years old so likely not going to get any bigger. He does look like he has grey is his muzzle so might be an older gentleman. Either way this guy is looking for his forever home and would love to come home with you. Come check him out at Chicago Animal Care and Control any day between 12-6pm.

This is Adhalia. She came in to Chicago Animal Care and Control as an owner surrender about a month ago. The first time I took her out during her first week she was so scared and didn’t want to go back inside. Instead she planted by the fence near the parking lot and really had to be coaxed to get up and walk back inside. It was heartbreaking 💔 She was probably hoping her owner was coming back. I have taken her out a few times since that first time and her personality has really started to come out since then. She seems to love everyone she meets and loves saying high and getting treats. You do have to go slow but if you let her come to you she will come back again and again. She has a beautiful smile and two different colored eyes. She also loves agility and is pretty good at nosework. I really hope someone sees how special she is and gives her the forever home she deserves. Come meet her at CACC any day between 12-7pm.

Dagmar’s hobbies include enthusiastically chasing tennis balls, immediately dropping them for another round, and trying to figure out if she’s part Labrador or just a really convincing impostor. She’s got a soft spot for cuddles and will happily transform into a lap dog if you let her—tennis ball firmly in mouth, of course.

She’s curious about other dogs but hasn’t quite figured out if she wants to play or just announce her presence with some enthusiastic barking. Dagmar’s dream life? Endless tennis balls, belly rubs, and a warm lap to curl up in. She’s sweet, spunky, and ready to bring some energy (and tennis balls) to your life!

Petey is searching for a foster or adopter to call his own! This sweet 8-year-old was surrendered to the shelter by his previous owner, and he deserves so much more than life in a kennel. Petey dreams of spending his golden years in a cozy, loving home where he can truly relax.

He’s an easygoing guy who doesn’t ask for much—just a comfy bed, a few treats, and people to love him. Can you give Petey the second chance he deserves?

Sweet Alec can be super shy at times, but other times he’s full of energy, jumping and playful. He’s such a good boy and seems to take direction really well. While walking on leash, he started to jump a bit, so I turned and walked the other way. When we returned to our original direction, he adjusted beautifully, walking in step with me, which was so nice to see. In the play lot, he had a little burst of zoomies but quickly settled down, wanting nothing more than to melt into you for some affection—that’s clearly what he enjoys the most. He loves treats and takes them so gently. He’s a silly, sweet puppy and can’t be more than a year old. He was also brave enough to give agility a try and seems to really enjoy it. Alex is available for adoption at Chicago Animal Care and Control. You can meet him any day between 12-6pm.

Gravity (A278593) is a truly exceptional boy who's ready for a fresh start. Adopted over the summer as a pup, he's now looking for a new forever home after his previous family was unable to keep him.
