Aspen Star Ranch

ASR Lucky Spark aka “Vesper”
Marvel - aka Sparkys Shining Doll x SHS Clare Blanton

Very happy to have this girl as part of the future of the ASR breeding program! Talk about natural ability—brains, body, and talent, she’s the whole package. Once she really starts to fill out, this girl is going to be a force to be reckoned with!

ASR Electric Comndr aka “Voltage”
Electric Code x Zips Lil Countess

If this is the awkward phase I can’t imagine how good he will look next year. He already knows how to use that big b***y!

ASR Midnight Smoke aka “Virgil”
The Midnight Special - APHA Buckskin Tobiano Stallion x Skip Aspen Unity
This guy is going to be a big one, I see a big growth spurt coming soon. He can’t be bothered to keep his eyes open for pictures!

Got the yearlings cleaned up for a little picture day before the winter coats come in. Can’t wait to see their progress next springs once the awkward phase is over!

Aspen Star Ranch had a great week at the Colorado Reined Cowhorse Association Firecracker!

It was an amazing show with great people, and we’re so thankful for the experience. It was pretty special to see our home-raised horses competing alongside some of the best in the business.

It’s been a crazy busy spring with a lot of changes and a lot of work at the ranch, and these two haven’t gotten as much attention as they deserved. Even so, they handled their first away show like champs, took great care of Evelyn Pontoriero, and gave everything they had every time they stepped into the ring.

We couldn’t be prouder of these horses and everything they accomplished this week. We all gained valuable experience, these horses showed so much heart, and we have plenty to be excited about in their future. On to the next one!

Our yearlings are starting their journey toward becoming well mannered citizens. Evelyn Pontoriero got them started, and now our student/helper, Avery, is getting valuable experience learning to work with young horses.

Some of these promising youngsters are available, along with several riding horses. If you’re looking for your next partner, consider an Aspen Star Ranch horse.
