Art feels pretty important to me right now, maybe more than it ever has. With a non stop swirl of information from a world that can seem so very fast and scary and unfair I try so hard to keep myself in present. I’m working on my patience; finishing ideas, cleaning my home, following my heart. I feel resistant to trying to sell my stuff right now, resistant to the hustle that I could make this. More and more I see that my art is my guiding light. When I let that little voice speak through my hands I am calmed, I am resolute, I feel saved.

I am continually working on murals for my kids. I work on them from time to time and change things here and there. They evolve and so does my family. The past couple days I’ve been bringing my son’s request for a “cosmic owl” to life. It takes lots of little movements but when I step back I see the whole picture and it uplifts me. This is my lesson from my little voice muse, “don’t stop the movement, no matter its size, patience, patience, the universe is still here churning, still holding you, keep going.”
