Hi my name is Leo! My nicknames include Little Leo Lad and Mr. Sweets 🤪 I am a big boy so you can tell I love to eat and I am looking forward to enjoying tons of veggies 🍅 when I'm old enough. I can't wait to grow up on a farm and spend all my time outside getting dirty! ☀️ I love going on walks and practicing my new found skill of smiling at my parents. I hate diaper changes and sleeping through the night! 🤗 I am also not happy with The Patriots this year 🤨

Hello Chester, Connecticut! My name is Andrew and I couldn't be more excited to be taking over Deep Hollow Farm soon with my amazing wife Christine! I am from Rhode Island and went to college in New London, so moving to Chester feels a lot like coming home. Since Christine and I met at a farm in upstate New York five years ago, the idea of having our own farm has been our dream, and it is finally coming true. Growing vegetables has been my passion since I began farming almost a decade ago, and I take great pride in my trade. The world needs more small, sustainable farms, now more than ever, and I feel so lucky to be able to grow food for a living. The work is often challenging- too much rain, not enough rain, bugs, disease, and don't get me started on weeds. But when I am sitting down to a beautiful meal of food that started as a line on a spreadsheet, then a seed that was nurtured into a strong, healthy plant, it is more than worth the stress and sore muscles. I can't wait to watch our son Leo grow up surrounded by the living systems that sustain us and develop a little green thumb of his own. 😄

We're looking forward to becoming a part of the Chester community! We'd love to grab a beer with you sometime, especially if you have strong opinions on hoes or tomato varieties 😜

Hi! My name is Christine! 👋I am so excited to start this new chapter in our lives at Deep Hollow Farm! I've worked in farming and horticulture for 10 years and feel strongly called to growing food as an act of public service. I first became interested in agriculture during my time at the Pennsylvania Horticultural Society. I then jumped into farming wholeheartedly, working on farms all over the country! Most of my experience is in large scale organic orchards and I have managed orchards from 100 acres to 7 acres. From Pennsylvania to New York to Colorado and back to New York, I've had a blast gaining knowledge and experience in growing food and beekeeping.🐝 I've spent a lot of time on a ladder in the trees 🌳🍎🍑 and I am excited to get my feet on the ground and my hands in the dirt and start growing some vegetables! 🥬🌶🥕

I am also a certified doula. I have recently found my passion for supporting and educating women throughout their perinatal period. In April 2019 our daughter Ida was born still. My experience opened my eyes to the needs of women before, during, and after childbirth.🤰🏼I don't want anyone to feel alone or that they don't have a voice in their childbirth experience. I believe all women deserve compassionate and individualized education, care, and support. 🙏💛

I love coffee ☕️ and hiking and I hate the taste of chard and beets! 😝
