🔥🔥Sunray Racing — Closing In on 500!🔥🔥

Wow — the love keeps rolling in and we’re officially just shy of our 2026 goal of 500 followers. The support has been unreal, and every like, share, and comment helps push this team forward.

Big things are coming for Sunray Racing. We’re building, growing, and connecting with more people who share the same passion for racing that drives us every day. Reaching a wider audience isn’t just a number — it fuels our mission to bring the racing community together and share the excitement with fans, families, and future drivers.

🏁🏁Thank you for riding with us. Stay tuned… the best is still ahead.

to that time we hit guy who hit the flag stand. Nowhere to go! Drivers were ok. Karts were not. Sometimes you have to risk it for the biscuit!

🔧Sunray Racing Super Truck Progress Report

Yeah, we’ve been quiet — but only because we’ve been buried in work. The last month has been a blur of fabrication, parts showing up on the doorstep, and long nights in the shop. It’s been a lot, but it’s been worth it.

Here’s where we stand: seat bolted in, belts mounted, pedals set, window net hung, steering locked down. David’s been getting comfortable in the cockpit, and Joshua slid in like he’s ready to take the green flag tomorrow. We’ve also run the throttle cable, brake lines, clutch cylinder, and knocked out a pile of body work and piping.

There’s still plenty left to do, but the truck is about to turn the corner from “pile of parts” to “race machine.” Stick with us — the fun part is coming.

We are still actively seeking sponsorship support and hope that folks out there see our craftsmanship and joy for doing this. We would love to find ways to take our passion and turn it into a way to connect local businesses to our fan base and bring more attention to them by putting them in the spotlight at the race track and social media. Please reach out to David E Nettles via messenger if you or someone you know would be interested in partnering with our team.

Sunray Racing Update:

Wow — we’re under 100 followers away from hitting our 2026 goal of 500 followers. The support has been incredible. Keep those likes, follows, and shares coming and we will keep the content coming. Every bit of engagement helps this team grow.

Tomorrow we’re diving back into the Super Truck. More parts were ordered last night, and that parts list is finally getting shorter. Piece by piece, this truck is getting closer to taking the green flag, and we couldn’t be more excited.

We are still actively looking for sponsorship opportunities. As this project gets closer to race‑ready, we would love to put your business on the hood, sides, deck — wherever you want your brand to shine. If you or someone you know is interested, please reach out to David E. Nettles for sponsorship details.

Thank you all so much for the support so far. We have bigger and bigger plans ahead, and we can’t wait to share every step of the journey with you.

🔥 Dixieland Speedway Race Recap: Progress Hidden Inside a Rough Night

After qualifying 6th, Polt was absolutely poised for a strong run. The speed was there, the car was balanced, and he looked ready to mix it up with the front half of the field. But an early‑race incident collected the #71, ending his night before he ever had the chance to show what that car really had in it.

Still, the bigger story isn’t the wreck — it’s the trend.

Sunray Racing has watched Polt steadily find more speed as the season has gone on. Every week he’s showing more confidence, more aggression, and more understanding of what the car needs. He’s in that gritty “race it, break it, fix it, repeat” phase that every developing driver goes through, and each return to the track proves he’s leveling up.

Keep it up Driver and we will keep cheering you on!

The #71 Dirt Late Model of Brenden Polt is set to take the green flag at 8pm tonight at Dixieland Speedway. We are hoping to improve on last week's finish. Come on down and cheer on that blue and gray 71 machine!

Please send a prayer out for our friend and follower Andrew Zettervall, aka Mr. Cheeseburger! We have raced very competitively against his team and drivers over the years and wish him a speedy recovery and hope to see him back at the race track soon!
