If I were still doing 7am video calls for work, I’d probably make this my Teams background photo. But now I get to enjoy it every day IRL, crunching through the autumn leaves, breathing in the cool crisp morning air, surrounded by bird songs and crickets and humming bees, absorbing and appreciating every moment.
Sometimes the biggest life changes we don’t choose are the ones we needed all along…

It’s going to be a wet, windy weekend… a little light and warmth go a long way. This new batch of sweet little 5” beeswax candles can provide a quiet moment for meditation, a celebratory flame for birthdays, or a reusable lighter for tapers and holiday candles. Each candle burns for about one hour.
(September is my birthday month so I’ll definitely need a lot of these on my cake! 🫣🎂)

Nature provides the decor, the bees provide the honey. We do some blending, pouring and posting - and the rest is a smooth, slow Thursday morning.

This branch of colorful fall leaves was laying on the ground exactly where I set up my table at The Bala Cynwyd Farmers Market so I understood it was meant to be a part of today’s decor 🍂🍁🍯
The temps are definitely cooler, most of the blooming trees and flowers have finished, but there are still a few end of season blooms that pollinators can find to snack on…

The official days of Fall are here. Temperatures have dropped (in the Northeast). Leaves are slowly starting to change color. What could be better than cozying up with a warm cup of golden milk to soothe your soul, boost your immune system, and treat your tastebuds.

Cleaning honey frames at this time of the season offers a lot of time for introspection and inspection. As I prepare these frames to go into storage for winter, I think about everything we do throughout the year to set our apiaries up for success and survival. And yet, chances are we may lose a few hives over winter for many different reasons.
As beekeepers we do the best we can to prepare, provide for and support our colonies, and hopefully we will all find ourselves on the sweeter side of the coming year.
A staple for honey lovers who also need the occasional heat… our Sweet Stinger infuses homegrown Carolina Reaper hot peppers in our raw wildflower honey, and the result is 🔥🔥🔥✨

We don’t often get in front of the camera, but wanted to take a moment for a quick reintroduction and thank you. We are Rachel and Ofer, beekeepers for over 10 years - started in Elkins Park and now in South Jersey, with hives in both PA and NJ. What started as a small hobby soon became a side gig and is now a (mostly) full time small business that we hope will keep on growing.
Most importantly, we want to thank you - our customers, farmers market friends, family and followers. It’s been our busiest season yet, and there is still so much to do and so much more coming.
We truly appreciate that you choose to bring our honey into your homes and healthy food choices, it’s full of love, hard work and local goodness in every jar.
