“It’s print-ready!” says the client, with the confidence of someone who just discovered sliced bread. But hold onto your crusts, because every printer knows this is the prelude to a digital disaster. An RGB, 72 dpi, .PNG file that was promised to be “high-res. vector art,” looks like a pixelated Picasso.

Print and digital are like cats and dogs—they may both be pets, but they live in very different worlds. A file that dazzles on a backlit computer screen can turn into a hot mess on paper, vinyl and signage, where CMYK, resolution, bleed, margins, and embedded fonts are the real MVPs. Before you send your artwork to the printer, do a quick checklist:

- Is it CMYK? (No, that’s not a new Mountain Dew flavor)
- 300 dpi? (That’s dots per inch, not donuts per inch)
- Does it have bleed? (No, not a horror movie)
- Fonts outlined or embedded? (We want them to look sharp, not like they’ve been through a blender)

These little details don’t just make you look like a pro; they save everyone time and money. Remember, printing is a team sport.

And guys, if your file or logo is PNG, we can almost guarantee it’s going to be a hot mess. PNG files are not scalable and are meant for digital applications not wide format printing. If this is too much tech jargon for you, yes we can probably create a vector image for you, but please be prepared to pay for the time it takes us to do it. We want you to be happy with your finished product; whether it be a vehicle wrap, business card, poster, banner or sticker! We’re here to help you tell your story and make you look good doing it!
