💙 Will You Be the Hands That Help a Disabled Athlete Cross the Finish Line? 💙

This Sunday, June 28, at the Chattanooga Waterfront Triathlon, our incredible Addie Ray Racing athletes will be doing something many people thought would never be possible: competing in a triathlon.

These athletes face physical challenges every day, yet they continue to show up with courage, determination, and a spirit that inspires everyone around them. But they can't do it alone.

We are urgently looking for volunteers to help make race day possible.

🏊 Strong men or teenage boys are especially needed to help safely lift and guide our disabled athletes out of the water after the swim portion of the race.

🚴 We also need volunteers in transition to help with things like:
• Applying sunscreen
• Handing out water
• Checking helmets before athletes head onto the bike course
• Offering encouragement and support

📸 We would also love a volunteer photographer to help capture these unforgettable moments.

A few hours of your time can make a lifetime of memories for an athlete who has worked incredibly hard to be on that starting line. Your help isn't just practical—it tells our athletes, "You matter. We believe in you. We're cheering you on."

The best part? You'll be finished in time for church.

For some of our athletes, it's something they were once told would never be possible.

At Addie Ray Racing, we've watched children and adults light up with pride as they crossed their very first finish line. We've seen families cry tears of joy. We've watched athletes who were underestimated, overlooked, or told "you can't" prove that they absolutely can.

And now we're looking for more athletes to join us.

If you are differently-abled—or if you have a child who is—we want you to know there is a place for you here.

Whether it's a 5K, a Marathon, or even an Ironman triathlon, our mission is simple: to make sure every athlete has the opportunity to experience the thrill, excitement, and pride of racing.

Addie Ray Racing, Inc. had a phenomenal day at the Chickamauga Chase yesterday! The Chattanooga Track Club puts on such a fantastic race! So many familiar faces and a wonderfully inclusive environment! Thanks CTC!!!

Today was an incredible day for Addie Ray Racing! 💙
Our amazing volunteers gave their all—heart, strength, and determination—to carry our chair athletes through 13.1 miles. The finish line moments were nothing short of beautiful, filled with joy, triumph, and new friendships.
It truly takes a village, and we are beyond grateful for every single volunteer who made today possible. A special thank you to Matt Rardin (equipment manager), Emily Geyer (team coordinator extraordinaire), Lauren Caldwell, Nick Batson, and Billy & Tina Day. Each of you plays such an important role in getting our athletes safely to the start—and triumphantly across the finish line!
