Big news brewing at Cakeable Cafe! We are thrilled to announce that we are officially certified kosher under the supervision of Chabad of Charlotte.

Dylan has graduated! Dylan has made us laugh so much. We’re excited to see him learning new skills, working through his list, and staying focused at work. He’s made huge progress from his first day to now.

Spencer has also graduated! Spencer brings so much joy and laughter to work. He works hard and has gotten so comfortable with his task list, going step-by-step to get his work done.

We are recently celebrated a significant graduation—not for an intern this time, but for our Executive Director, Ken Norton! Ken will be transitioning from his staff role to a seat on our Board of Directors, where he will remain a vital part of our mission and vision. As we merge with ZABS Place, Bentzion Groner will step in as the Executive Director of our unified organization.

With Ken’s continued guidance on the Board and Bentzion’s leadership at the helm, we are more prepared than ever to serve the Charlotte community!
Ken’s dedication to seeing potential in every individual has shaped who we are today. We are grateful that his expertise and passion will continue to influence our work as we build a permanent home for inclusive employment in Charlotte.
