“I grew up in church and was really blessed to have a family that showed me what a godly lifestyle looked like. I always knew about Jesus, but for a long time my faith was mostly based on what I had been taught rather than a personal relationship with Him.
In middle school, I reached a point where I felt completely lost. I was filled with self-doubt, insecurity, and a deep feeling of being purposeless. I kept trying to figure life out on my own and shape myself into what I thought the world wanted me to be, but it only left me feeling more empty. Eventually I hit rock bottom after being diagnosed with an eating disorder and anxiety from all the pressure I was putting on myself to fit into a box that would please everyone else. In that desperation, I finally turned to Jesus for myself and realized He was the only one who could truly give me peace and purpose. A verse that really spoke to me in that season was Psalm 139:14, “I praise You because I am fearfully and wonderfully made.” It reminded me that God created me intentionally and knew me completely.
Now my life looks very different. I’m still growing every day, but my identity is no longer found in trying to please the world. It’s found in Christ. Knowing that God created me with purpose and knows me fully has brought a freedom and peace I could never create on my own, and I’m so grateful to keep growing in a real relationship with Him.“

“Before I truly knew Jesus, I was living a very broken life filled with anger, resentment, shame, and guilt. I spent so much of my time trying to fill the void with worldly idols, keeping myself far from God out of anger. I was always a believer, but never a true follower of Christ. I always made sure I left enough space between me and God.

But God had other plans for me. He didn’t meet me halfway — He met me in the middle of my brokenness. I didn’t have to be perfect or free from sin to be loved by Him. All I had to do was accept His love and grace into my heart.

Now I trust His plans and His will over mine. My life has never been more peaceful than it is living a life with Him.”

Winter retreat is coming up fast! As a lot of you know, Sunday service has been moved to Friday night (tonight) due to the threat of inclement weather. WHAT THIS MEANS FOR US:

We will have Winter Retreat Warm Up after the tonight’s service at 8:10. We’ll play some games, connect and have a time for Q&As. Pizza and drinks will be provided, and parents are invited!
