It all started with the dance ✨ Sami lore drop incoming….gonna make some of yall zero years old today with this one. Shout out to my LPC / Dark Matter homies. An iconic time that will never be forgotten. May the rave b with u.

Failures is hard. It hurts. I felt defeated. I shut down for bit. The self doubt was peaaaking. I got knocked down, and got humbled and felt it all, and it was scary and depressing and all the emotions that come with it. Eventually I just owned it, I embraced it. What I learned was BEING a success starts within. I reframed this from “failure” just to “an outcome that happened” I chose to own my success in other ways, just creating what I was creating was a success, showing up to the studio, success, my work ethic, my discipline, being on mission, following my heart, success. Embracing failure - success. Self love and self care, success. Counting to trust myself , success. Then I wrote the Renegades of Light album. Lean in. Feel everything. Keep going.

When u live ur authentic truth it’s gonna trigger people. When ur pursue a dream, when you thrive or succeed, when you risk being vulnerable, when you change, or evolve, or are be unapologetically you, it’s gonna trigger people AND they will DEF let you know!! The reality we all forget is, not everyone is supposed to like you, not everyone is supposed to see you or understand you AND you are also meant to experience what this feels like, to remind you, to give you the opportunity to stand even taller into who you are. It’s not all love and light, the sadness, the self doubt, the fear, the anxieties, all the ugly s**t, these are all human things we ALL go through….. -The shadows and hurt are vital, they need to be honored, felt and expressed- They show us where we can grow and expand. They show us the old parts of ourselves asking to be loved. It’s gonna happen, people will try and tear you down, and to let it affect you is human and real. BUT then we have a choice to make. I choose to let it serve me, to turn into a teacher, to say thank you for an opportunity to remind myself how far I have come and how much love I’m surrounded with!! It’s an opportunity to honor the shadow parts, the unhealed parts, for me it’s the young scared alone unlovable rejected little Sami. That’s how we turn the wound into the gift. It takes courage to be who you are. Most people are too scared, and they will project their own s**t right on to you. There is a freedom and peace in allowing people to experience you however they do. That’s their reality. And so be it. What’s ur reality !?? Head up heart open!!!
