Gratitude. Honor. Joy.

The weekend summed up in three words!

This beautiful day did not necessarily come easy. And such is life, the very best & most worth it things usually don’t.

After a full day of install on Friday, anticipating the wedding day, we learned later that evening that a microburst had caused both tents to collapse.

The first in this space in roughly 30 years. So you know you’re onto something special when.. 😉🥴🥵

Insert the absolute best team of vendor partners, WED staff, venue staff, & supporters (near & far). They showed up early. Stayed late. Brought extra hands to help. Volunteered outside of their lanes. Pushed to the limit. Exchanged texts & phone calls late into the night. Encouraged. Prayed. Pivoted. And made it happen!

The same can be said of S&K’s sweet family, friends, & bridal party. They genuinely offered to help. They showed up, celebrated, & cheered on.

Last, but certainly not least, Sarah & Kevin. The epitome of gratitude, honor, & joy — emphasis on the JOY! Thank you for being so easy to celebrate. For choosing joy. And for setting the tone for us all!

Looking back who would guess that we weathered the storm all day leading up to Eve & Scott’s wedding?

Several umbrellas, mops, tarps, sidewalls, a curbside pick up order for rugs, a backup ceremony set, and a few soggy wedding planners later… back to plan A we went… and with absolute pleasure! 🙌🏻✨

There is nothing more rewarding or motivating than watching the day unfold in the way that our couples dreamed it would for so many months. That’s what makes the blood, sweat, tears, and yes — sometimes even the rain — worth every last drop!
