One of my latest installations in Charlotte. Im not always taking out existing tubs, occasionally the client needs one in a different room of the house. In this case they wanted a wslk- in tub in their laundry room. This project was for a bariatric client - i have tubs that accomodate a person up to 450 pounds. ( alot of people dont realize this) i actually have a fairly long backround dealing with bariatric patients, clients and the challenges that occur. She liked using the washer and dryer for stability before i installed the tub. I put a 3 ‘ horizontal grab bar to allow her to safely reach the tub door. A very happy client who needed a custom tub on the main floor of the tub. She loves it! ( they wanted to repaint the walls - i would never leave a wall looking like that with my scope of work )

This is my most recent installation in Concord, NC. I wS ableto save my client by keeping original tike. Note that i kept the window and existing shower for him. Notice the U shape grab bar that is designed for the tub deck when i dont have useable wall surfaces for safety. Im very proud of our work

An installation completed in Savannah Georgia last week - The Marshes at Skidaway- this my 4 th install in this senior community - hydrotherapy, air Therapy, Bidet gentle jet for hygiene, and this one we added a heated seat and back.

This a recent installation in Charleston, SC. Mrs B - she needed Therapy, 6 back surgeries w/ more coming, some lower extremity neuropathy. Limited Mobilty, and a fall risk. This has Air and Hydrotherapy, bidet gentle jet, fully heated seat, chromotherapy, aromatherapy, and Pure Bubbles exfoliating technology for the entire body. I was able to save her some money by integrating with her existing tile. Also notice a specific designed U grab bar on the front deck of the tub - she can have to hand-holds if needed at all times for safety and leverage. She is another very happy client.

I’m Steven Otto the owner of Carolina Walk-in Tubs and I proudly customize and install the highest quality walk-in bathtubs in the Carolinas and Georgia. I’ve been a Carolinian since I moved from Seattle over 20 years ago and I currently reside in Charleston.

I have been helping seniors and the mobility-challenged for decades before I started Carolina Walk-in Tubs. My career experience has been with Home Health, Physical and Neurological Rehabilitation, Physical Therapy, and Mobility Aids — all of which strive to help people reclaim their freedom, dignity and peace-of-mind. In a sense, all of my experience has prepared me to do what I’m doing today — bringing all the benefits of safety, therapy and hygiene to where people live so that they can lead longer, happier lives in the place they already call home.

What’s the key to it all you ask?
The answer is simple, a custom-designed walk-in tub.
I’ve sold and installed hundreds of tubs (some of them from companies you may be familiar with) and I know the industry inside and out. While the benefits of the products are undeniable, the reason I started Carolina Walk-in Tubs was my concern over how clients are treated — from the beginning of the sales process through installation and beyond.

At Carolina Walk-in Tubs, we fully understand that a walk-in tub is big decision for most families and while I want you to buy my tub (and you should), I suggest to you get at least 2 or 3 quotes before signing anything. Remember, many of these larger companies will try very hard to get you to sign that day (“This deal expires today” etc, etc.), if they really care about you and not just the sale, they’ll respect your need to think things over.
