The order came from someone in Colombia 🇨🇴 — they don’t speak English, and I don’t speak Spanish. Yet, thanks to technology, we connected, understood each other, and brought this celebration to life for their loved one. ❤️

No language barriers. No country limits. Just pure emotion, effort, and the joy of making someone smile.

Something I kept it thinking to post but didn’t/ couldn’t but finally it’s here…

There are days in business when your body feels heavier than your passion.
That week was one of those weeks. CakeUWish was overflowing with orders — blessings I had accepted months ago with excitement and gratitude. Now they stood in front of me like a mountain. I was physically tired, mentally drained, and not feeling my best health-wise. Every step felt slower. Every task required extra effort.

But commitments are sacred to me. When someone books a cake months in advance, they aren’t just booking dessert — they’re trusting me with a moment in their life.

In the middle of that exhaustion, I received a call from a mother. Her voice carried urgency and love. She was traveling at the last minute to surprise her son who was studying out of state. There was one complication — he was allergic to regular cakes. She needed something safe for him. Something he could enjoy without worry.

I paused for a moment.

My schedule was packed. My energy was low. My body was asking for rest.
But my heart… my heart couldn’t say no.

I could hear it in her voice — this wasn’t just about cake. This was about a mother carrying love across state lines. This was about a boy who probably hadn’t had a homemade-style, safe cake in a while. And I knew I was one of the few who could make it happen.

So I said yes.

I went back into the kitchen that night tired, slightly unwell, For a brief moment, I wished I had someone to share the load. Someone to say, “You sit, I’ll handle this.”

But as I measured, mixed, baked, and decorated, something shifted.
