Hey! Helloooo... this way... I'm here!

A peaceful day in-between the peaks next to the lake.

Build in the 16th century, Panna Meena ka Kund is not the biggest step well in Rajasthan, but still a beautiful place to visit. Specially if you need to frame something in your memory lane - entry free.

Rajasthan is on partly dry desert soil. Panna Meena ka Kund was suppose to be used by the people of Amer to collect water, which was later used at many temples nearby. Women also came here to fill their water pots for household work. A cool small hangout for Amer guys to chill.

We came here to view the sunset. Yeah, as you can see we were focused on the sun. May be some other time. 😆

A brief about the place,
We are at the many of the one watchtower surrounding Amer Fort area. The lake is called Hangman Sagar Lake (a.k.a Sagar Lale). There are 3 temples in this area ( obviously one of which is Hanuman temple).

This seems to be a secluded place where tourist rarely visit. Your 4 wheeler will only support you for a short distance and rest is either walk/climb or a very short distance off road motorcycle.

Things you can do,
1. Quite place to enjoy the small valley with lots of peacocks dancing around and monkeys going banana.
2. Visit small local temples
3. Couple photography - multiple spots one of which is a beautiful dome spot at the center of the lake.
4. Drone flying
5. Trekking
6. Climb huge (like a million ft high stairs 🤪) to the Watchtower
7. Smoke a doobie - saw one random group doing it enjoying the view

Have traveled a lot, but this is different. There is a sense of direction even in randomness.

I was searching for a suitable word that defines my emotion before any itinerary and believe "Resfeber - The restless race of the traveller's heart before the journey begins." defines it best.

Can't believe this beauty is more than 6 years old! Best all-rounder motorcycle 🏍!

There is a story in every picture. The characters in the picture have their own but for you guys,

Standing from the top of the Jaigarh fort you can see the the Amer Fort on the left and the two peaks where you can climb the stairs of the hill and enjoy the majestic view of Amber fort from the top.

The water from the surrounding peaks is accumulated in the Maota Lake (a.k.a Mahavata Lake) you see in the middle. This Lake was the main source of water for the fort and the people around.

Maota Lake also has the famous for its Kesar Bagh. Some says there was an ingenious pulley system that allowed the women of the harem to reach the garden directly from their rooms, thus avoiding the risk of inappropriate male contact en route.
