🐾Roxie🐾6 year old, spayed female GSP, 40 lbs, currently being fostered in the Denver area.
LOOKING FOR A FOREVER HOME IN 📍COLORADO📍 (or within 3 hours' drive from Denver if you live in a neighboring state)
ABOUT ME:
Hi everyone! I’m Roxie, a 6-year-old GSP, very affectionate and sweet, a true Velcro dog. I am a pointy pocket rocket at 40lbs, and being a very energetic dog, I need lots of exercise every day. I can get some of that exercise in large, fenced yard, but I need a lot more off leash running than that. I have great recall off leash and love going hiking or running in a big dog park like Westminster, Chatfield or Cherry Creek. I need consistent training, especially walking on leash as I can pull a little. I LOVE to play fetch as I am ball obsessed!
If I get a good amount of running exercise, I will be a calm and enjoy a good snooze at home. I just really need to get rid of all my energy so I can enjoy the affection and love on which I thrive. I am crate trained and house broken. I do not get on the furniture but I’m sure I could be convinced to snuggle on the couch with you!
I can be a little shy a first and nervous around loud noises (vacuum, lawn mower, loud trucks, etc.) I get along well with other dogs and would love a canine buddy in my new home. I have never shown any aggression towards a dog or human. Although I love my canine friends, I am not suited to living with cats as I have a very strong prey drive towards birds and small animals. I am great with older children but probably too energetic and strong for young kids, as I wouldn't want to topple anyone over.
I am a very affectionate, sweet and loving girl so time with my people is very important to me. My fosters say I am "the perfect combination of energizer bunny and snuggle bug.” I hope my new family is patient and can give me the consistent training, daily running exercise and love that I yearn for, and make me an important part of their life.

🐾Adoptable Jinx 🐾
3.5 yr old neutered male GSP
LOOKING FOR A FOSTER/FOSTER TO ADOPT OR FOREVER FAMILY IN
📍COLORADO📍
Always wanted to snuggle up with a Shetland pony on your couch, but couldn't deal with their sassiness? Jinx might be perfect for you! He is a hunk of a boy at 80lbs, but he is a sweetheart and gentle giant.
Poor Jinx was rescued from a terrible situation in Utah, he was being attacked incessantly by another male in the household (NB: he is a gentle soul, he was not the instigator and never retaliated) leaving him bleeding and terrified. His owner did not have the resources to help him, so with the help of amazing volunteers, we rescued him and had him vetted and neutered.
Jinx is being fostered in Colorado by a fantastic family who is besotted with him, but their work and travel schedule is changing at the start of June, so Jinx needs to find his forever family or be placed in a new foster home.
ABOUT ME:
I am a lovebug; a really gentle soul who will be loyal and loving companion. I am an all-round good boy with no vices, and I think I am the perfect age for civilized society since I am out the other side of my puppyhood and teenage years.
My foster parents have taught me the commands “come, here, sit, stay, down, off, wait, no, away". I am a star student (if I do say so myself) and am food motivated. I have already lost 10lbs in my foster home and will need my new family to manage my food and exercise so I can work on having a health waistline.
I’m pretty good on leashed walks but I love to snoop and explore so I can get a bit distracted and might forget that I am the size of a small pony! You can see the scars from other dogs attacking me around my eyes and ears, and you can see the emotional scars when big dogs approach me as I tend to freeze. My foster parents have been using positive reinforcement and high value treats to help me be brave, and it is important that my new family is gentle and can understand how to help me build confidence. I enjoy hikes and would love a family who can help me work on my recall so I can enjoy running off leash.
I love watching birds and squirrels all day in the sun. I don’t jump fences, but I supervise everyone going and occasionally saying "hi" with my best voice. I can safely be left for a couple of hours with free roam in the house, I will chill out on my bed or sunbathe on the porch. I enjoy having chew toys and although I might shred my own toys, I know shoes are off limits! I am an opportunist when it comes to counter surfing, so best to keep human treats out of my reach.
My absolute favorite hobby is snuggling on the couch with my family; I really LOVE quality time with my humans. In the evenings, I’ll take myself off to sleep in the dog bed or doggy blanket pile at the foot of the bed.
I am looking for a family who can give me love and attention and wants me to be a core part of their lives. I need daily exercise including regular off leash hikes, a fenced yard for sunbathing and wildlife patrols, and I might enjoy a canine companion, provided that they are smaller well-adjusted female.
❌No cats please!

🐾ADOPTABLE WINSTON🐾 Needs foster or forever home!
Winston's wonderful foster family has a very busy summer coming up so we urgently need to find Winston a new foster or forever home in Colorado. He has been in a foster home for nearly 12 months and really deserves to have his own family.
❤️Winston is a sweet 3-yr-old male GSP mix. Our best guess is an adorable combination of GSP and Bluetick Coonhound.❤️
Being GSP-lite, Winston has a lot of the great qualities of a GSP, without the vigorous exercise requirements! He is loyal, easy going, and loves having a human around to keep him company. He only needs a couple of 30–45 minute walks a day to stay happy and healthy. Whilst he loves a gentle trot alongside his family, he might not be the best choice for a seasoned marathon runner! He loves fetching a ball in the yard, walks nicely on a leash, and has great recall.
Winston bonds closely with his family, BUT he does find the noises and excitement of small humans a bit confusing, so he needs to be placed in a patient, adult-only home. He is fully house trained, knows basic commands and is very trainable and eager to learn new things. He does not need to sleep in a crate, but he likes to use it as a safe space if things get hectic around him.
Submissive dogs are Winston's preferred playmates. He will typically ignore a more dominant dog. He has not been exposed to cats, but given his demeanor, we think he would adapt to kitties. He is not a fan of car rides so he would be better suited to home where he can go out on hikes/walks without driving too much. He would love a fenced yard for ball games and playing with other family dogs.
Adoption fee: $350

He is going to be such a wonderful loyal companion for his new family!

Bane has an adoption pending!
❤️Mile High GSP transport volunteers rock!❤️
Yesterday, superstars Jim Carroll and father-daughter duo Bradley Bryant and Courtney Messman each drove a leg of Bane's journey from Fort Worth,TX to Denver, CO.
Thanks to all 3 of them and Ronny (who looked after Bane in his home in Texas for many months), Bane began his new life in Colorado last night. Bane was a gentleman with everyone he met along the way, so watch this space for his bio once he is settled in with his foster mama!
Zoe and Sanza have been adopted by their foster families! With your amazing help, we have secured an emergency foster/petsitter for Zoe and Sanza, ❤️THANK YOU!❤️
