The community stood strong in agreement…no utilty scale in Natrona! No meant no and no still means no! Enfinity Global has had a little over a year to revise their application. Harris stated that they will not be specifying components this go around. It will be interesting to see the new application when it becomes available. The community effectively demonstrated that the last application was nearly fraudelent. The community is not deterred and is working together to turn this away again. Note, Harris did mention that if defeated again, they could possibly be back for a third go around. It was great to see friends, neighbors and ranchers articulate well the real dangers and concerns. On the solar side, please don’t be mislead by tbe statement made by Harris: “nothing toxic is in solar”. They are considered hazardous waste when broken. Range Solar has broken solar modules that cannot be taken to the landfill. Our findings with a USDA lab filed with the commission last year can be found online. We are called to steward the land and to love our neighbors as ourselves. One resident asked Harris if he would want this in his backyard. I didn’t hear his reply. I know that I do not wish utility scale solar in anyone’s backyard. This meeting was a necessary step in their process for permitting. They have initiated paper work with Pacificorp regarding a PPA. Harris could not answer if they will be choosing domestic content Solar products.
Updates will be shared!
Haystack Solar Project Back Again, Opponents Vow ‘There’s Going To Be A Battle’ The 2,000-acre Haystack Solar Project that faced strong opposition from Natrona County residents last year is back. On Monday evening, project leaders…
Happy home and garden show all locals! We have the very best customers, as many of them become friends! Some friends called to say that they were told Range Solar has been bought out. We haven’t been to the home show for 3 years now because it simply didn’t make sense. We welcome other local solar companies! There is plenty of work for all. Range Solar originated to work the whole state of Wy. What places we have seen! Having local relief is wonderful and yes, Range Solar is in business, not sold out and is working mostly out of the Casper area. Range Solar is taking on fewer jobs currently. One day it will be nice to retire from being on the road so much. For now….solar is great, the Son and the sun powers us all! Enjoy the home and garden show!
There will be updates as we have them on the utility scale solar project meeting.

Zoom link to say no to the gravel lease, Casper mountain. Many of you have signed the petition, thank you! There is time to sign up for testimony via zoom, or better yet, in person if you can in Cheyenne. We don’t have all the specifics, but encourage all to consider saying no to the lease renewal. If Trues were able to mine, using Coates road, it would be detrimental to wildlife, water, quality of living for retirees, homeowners, small business’s located on or near Coates road, the animals that live there, many horses and hunting dog families etc. True stated that everyone can just get used to large trucks every 15 minutes going up and down the rural road. The proposed gravel mine would not benefit much in the way of local, yet be certain to terrorize the landscape and life around. Thank you for you consideration and voice!

The community turned out in great numbers last night, Feb 4. Everyone was very articulate and well prepared for the commissioners meeting. So very thankful that 3 of our commissioners voted no! Thank you Mr. Coates , Mr. North and Mr. Laird. They listened and understood the great risk to all in the community. The application had over 100 errors, concerns and miscalculations. I heard that it was the longest meeting on record! Mr Harris said to me “I will see you again” , so there is a possibility of an appeal. We will be ready! Thankful, so thankful that this land, creek, wetlands, wildlife and community will not have to see such an irresponsible and destructive way of using solar. Living and working in the 307 at it’s best! Blessed!

There does not appear to be an upside to utility scale Solar or battery storage. We have faught legislatively for years against this. Range Solar has conducted private research through USDA, results will be shared when possible. Thank you all for choosing solar that is designed and built with integrity! We are blessed to be living and working in the 307!
Scientists link surge in heavy metals in soil to California lithium battery plant fire Scientists have linked a lithium battery plant fire in California earlier this month to a surge in heavy metals found in nearby soil.

Friends and acquaintances!! For those following the EG Haystack permit for utility scale solar in Natrona, Wy there is an update. Per the applicant, they have moved public comment to Jan 21,2025! What tremendous work for the community! The community has been able to show lack of Solar knowledge by the applicant and also their lack of land and water understanding. At one point in their application, they referred to Solar as “turbines”. The application is sloppy at best. We are so blessed and busy to know all of you, to work the entire 307 and to live the 307! Travels and work have included Casper, Lander, Laramie and Hulett! Blessed we are. Thank you all!
