POLITICAL WEAPONIZATION OF GOVERNMENT
We're hearing about the “Weaponization of the Federal Government” practically every day in the media, whether in print, radio, television, social media, or other online sources.
And it's not just a "buzz" phrase - it is real.
In January, the new federal House Select Subcommittee on the Weaponization of the Federal Government was formed. It is one of the concessions that Freedom Caucus members demanded of U.S. Rep. Kevin McCarthy in exchange for supporting his bid to become speaker of the House.
This committee would effectively investigate the “Deep State,” a reference to agencies with vast surveillance powers including the FBI, CIA, CDC, DOJ, and DHS.
However, many years ago, American patriot, author, and instructor, Mark Herr, was keen on this same topic. He has worked tirelessly, sounding the alarm across the nation since April 2010 when the Tea Party was vilified and targeted for their patriotism and political views.
Maybe you are thinking this sounds more like a federal problem than a state problem. Think again.
Recall how in recent years the IRS targeted numerous individuals because of their political beliefs. We have seen federal agencies use their power of intimidation on American citizens to silence their political viewpoints. Over and over and over again.
On June 15, 2023, Wyoming Campaign for Liberty will be proudly hosting Mark Herr at our meeting. Join us from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the Hilton Garden Inn, 1150 N. Poplar Street, Casper to learn of the tremendous efforts Mark has been making to expose the weaponization of the federal government against its citizens.
Just a couple of months ago, Mark Herr and others met with Wyoming's lone U.S. Representative, Harriet Hageman. As you may be aware, Representative Hageman was appointed to serve on the House Select Subcommittee, and her website states the following:
"The subcommittee must investigate matters related to the collection, analysis, dissemination, and use of information on U.S. citizens by executive branch agencies, including whether such efforts are illegal, unconstitutional, or otherwise unethical. The subcommittee will have the power to issue subpoenas to officials within federal agencies and conduct in-depth hearings."
Mr. Herr will not only report on his knowledge of the "Weaponization of the Federal Government" but will also share tips on how Wyoming citizens can guard and defend our Republic from these continued assaults by unelected federal employees and agencies.
Meeting Details:
Date: Thursday, June 15, 2023
Time: 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
Location: Hilton Garden Inn, 1150 N. Poplar Street, Casper
With the outright conspiratorial behavior of federal government bureaucrats to silence free speech and hide factual information, it is imperative that we stop the weaponization of the federal government. Now.

A Tale of Two Midterms - LewRockwell Those searching for an explanation of why there was no “red wave” giving Republicans huge gains in Congress in this year’s midterm election should compare this year’s election with the midterm election of 2010. In 2010, Republicans gained a net 63 House seats. While Republicans then did not ...

War and Peace
Are you ready to go to war?
My personal response would be -- it depends. If one was talking about a battle to save our nation and our state, then count me in.
However, if one was talking about yet another unconstitutional war, one without formal declaration by Congress, then count me OUT!
As many of you are aware, Campaign for Liberty has long taken a stance of maintaining a constitutional, non-interventionist foreign policy. Not only is our military overstretched, which weakens our national defense, but these undeclared, unconstitutional wars are bankrupting our country.
“Of all the enemies to public liberty war is, perhaps, the most to be dreaded because it comprises and develops the germ of every other. War is the parent of armies; from these proceed debts and taxes . . . known instruments for bringing the many under the domination of the few . . . No nation could preserve its freedom in the midst of continual warfare.”
~James Madison
The U.S. Constitution specifically states that Congress alone has the authority to decide if we go to war. Unfortunately for America, President Biden (in line with many presidents before him) seems to be headed down the path of foregoing restraint and continuing the practice of engaging our nation into another unconstitutional war.
This is the perfect time for us to introduce Dan McKnight, a 13-year veteran of the military, including service in the U.S. Marine Corps, U.S. Army, and the Idaho Army National Guard. On Thursday, June 9, 2022, Wyoming Campaign for Liberty will be hosting Dan McKnight at the Hilton Garden Inn, 1150 N. Poplar Street, Casper.
Having served in Afghanistan, Dan has an intimate understanding of the sacrifice involved with serving our nation. As Dan and others have voiced, states must take the lead to get the U.S. out of endless wars.
Dan is also leading the charge to commit members of the U.S. House of Representatives and Senate to obey their oath to the U.S. Constitution and uphold the authority of congressional war powers.
Please join us on Thursday, June 9, to hear Dan's presentation. Be sure to note that we are holding our meeting at a different location this month! Here are the particulars:
Meeting Details
Date: Thursday, June 9, 2022
Time: 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm
Location: Hilton Garden Inn, 1150 N. Poplar Street, Casper
In addition to hearing from Dan, we are excited to announce another proven fighter for constitutional government, Harriet Hageman, will be joining us as well.
Harriet has time and time again, fought in court on a federal level as an attorney defending the rights of Wyoming citizens. Her expertise as a water rights and natural resource attorney has been instrumental in successfully representing her clients and in stopping the federal government's encroachment upon private property rights.
Harriet Hageman's battleground may be different than those that Dan McKnight fought upon, but their enemy is still the same - overreaching unconstitutional actions of federal government bureaucracies and elected officials.
This will be a meeting you won't want to miss! Please mark this day on your calendar!

Wyoming's 2022 legislative budget session has adjourned, and as responsible, engaged citizens, we will gather together on April 14th to review all of the positives and negatives that resulted from the session.
As Plato once stated, "The punishment which the wise suffer who refuse to take part in the government, is to live under the government of worse men."
Our gratitude for you and your commitment to Wyoming Campaign for Liberty cannot be overstated. It is because of you and your participation that we have been able to stop numerous bills that would further erode our liberty -- plus, we have been able to see numerous bills passed that actually defend liberty or promote limited government.
Please join us on Thursday, April 14, from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the Holiday Inn East in Casper to hear Wyoming State Representative Chuck Gray catch us up on the budget session.
As you may know, Rep. Gray has been a champion for liberty in Natrona County and throughout our state, pressing for roll call votes to hold left-leaning legislators accountable for their actions. With elections coming up this year, it is important to know who voted for what and how those votes have affected us directly and indirectly.
Meeting Details
Date: Thursday, April 14, 2022
Time: 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
Where: Holiday Inn East, 721 Granite Peak Drive, Casper
Who: You, your family, and friends
Quoting Abraham Lincoln, "The people of these United States are the rightful masters of both congresses and courts, not to overthrow the Constitution, but to overthrow the men who pervert that constitution." This is what we must continue focusing our efforts on -- holding accountable any and all elected officials who pervert our Constitution in any way, shape, or form.
In addition to Rep. Gray's presentation, we would like you to ponder a project that may be beneficial to those of us who are concerned with the current world events and how they may affect us here in Wyoming. Will there be food shortages? Will there be supply chain disruptions? Will you be able to find medical care? What about communications?
Whether these concerns and others become realized in the near future or not, it would be great to develop a trade network that liberty lovers can use to do business with! We will discuss this topic on April 14 if we can fit it into our schedule.
In the meantime, please mark your calendar for 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. on Thursday, April 14, to meet at the Holiday Inn East, 721 Granite Peak Drive, Casper!

Patriots,
You know what they say - big things come in little packages. Just ask Andy Smith, Grace Smith's dad.
If you have been following Wyoming news, you may have heard of Grace Smith, the 16-year-old Laramie High School student who was arrested in October for refusing to obey a school mask mandate.
Citing the fact that the school's mask mandate is a violation of the Wyoming Constitution and violates her civil liberties, Grace has done at age 16 what very few have experienced in a lifetime. She has endured multiple school suspensions, received two $500 citations for trespassing, and was arrested for the simple "crime" of attending her high school classes without a mask.
Grace Smith and her father, Andy, have joined a lawsuit to sue Governor Gordon, Wyoming State Health Officer Alexia Harrist, the Wyoming Department of Health, as well as numerous Wyoming school districts.
On Thursday, December 2, from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., Grace and her father will join us at our Natrona County Campaign for Liberty meeting. We will gather at the Holiday Inn East, 721 Granite Peak Drive in Casper to hear Grace share her courageous battle to defend individual liberty!
Meeting Details:
Date: Thursday, December 2, 2021
Time: 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
Location: Holiday Inn East, 721 Granite Peak Drive, Casper
Cost: Free
You can watch Grace’s arrest here.
It is an inspiration to hear this bold story of non-compliance lived out by such a young patriot shared on national media. But it will be even better to join us and listen to Grace's story in person!
Benjamin Franklin once said, "Those who would give up essential liberty to purchase a little temporary safety, deserve neither liberty nor safety." Grace offers that quote in defense of her actions . . . I would agree with both Franklin and Grace Smith.
Please feel free to invite your family and friends -- YOUNG and old!
