💙 💛 Happy World Down Syndrome Day! Sharing this video because it’s a great one for today. If you’re rocking your mismatched/colorful socks today, drop a photo below. World Down Syndrome Day is on March 21st every year to represent the triplication of the 21st chromosome (Trisomy 21,) that causes Down Syndrome. This years theme is “Together Against Loneliness.” Today we acknowledge that presence is not the same as involvement. 💙 💛

Hey all! This is a great event and benefits our children’s center. Proceeds will allow us to continue to provide childcare for our kiddos with extra support needs at no additional cost to families. Please come show support for our local families. Tonight is game night, tomorrow is game night. Sunday is game day. See you there!

Hey friends! If you’re looking for something fun to do while supporting a great cause… please mark this on your calendars. For those who don’t know, the waitlist for disability support services in Wyoming is currently anywhere between 3-5 YEARS. This means that once a child is diagnosed, families have to wait YEARS to get funding for specialized childcare. The majority of children with disabilities are excluded from typical childcare due to medical needs and/or challenging behaviors. What would life look like for a single mom with no childcare for years?! These are some of the families our childcare center aims to support. But staffing is not cheap and many of our children need higher levels of support than a typical daycare would provide. Among many other supports, we provide 100% inclusive childcare to both children on the supports waiver and those who aren’t yet funded. These are children and families here in our community who typically battle through long, issolated and challenging years with no support. Would love to see you there!

Somebody should put these girls in charge! They are playing “daycare.” Imaginative play allows children to practice empathy and gives a safe space for children to learn about themselves and others as they will often begin to act out thoughts and feelings before a broader conceptual understanding is achieved. These girls are developing social relationships with one another and also exploring bigger social concepts. And they look adorable doing it!
