What a beautiful day representing Pura Vida Studio at Cary Magazine’s Women of Western Wake event! 🤍✨

Our studio owner, Alicia Calderwood, looks forward to this event every year, and this year was extra special because, for the first time, Pura Vida had the opportunity to be an event sponsor!

Alicia was joined by some of our incredible yoga and aerial teachers to represent Pura Vida and spend the day learning, connecting, and being inspired together.

We heard from an inspiring panel of women leading businesses throughout Western Wake as they shared their experiences taking chances and navigating challenges and growth. We also attended educational workshops and kicked off the morning with a meaningful breakfast session centered around betting on yourself, having the courage to take chances even when you don’t know exactly where they’ll lead, and knowing your own limits while staying true to yourself.

So much of what was shared reflects how Alicia strives to lead Pura Vida: leading by example, continuing to learn, empowering those around her, and creating a culture where people feel supported and encouraged to grow. 💕

We left feeling inspired, connected, and grateful to have experienced the day together as a team.

Have your kiddos been looking to trial an aerial class with us? Well now is there chance with our ONLY trial class opportunity for youth students on Saturdays at 10:45-12pm!

This class is for ages 9-14 only, giving students the opportunity to experience multiple aerial apparatuses before committing to a series!

Students will explore silks, sling, lyra, and trapeze while learning beginner-friendly skills in a safe, supportive, and encouraging environment.

No previous experience required. Whether looking for a fun new hobby or a creative way to play and move, this class is designed to help students feel successful from day one!

Show #1 runtime @6-7pm (Call time for volunteers @4-7pm for set up & your job)

Show #2 runtime @8-9pm (Call time for volunteers @7:10pm-9:30pm for job & clean up)

Please note that we do have to move items, carry chairs, move mats, and rearrange the studio that needs to happen. So please be mindful if you have anything that may prevent you from the support we need in moving items when volunteering.

Turn your child’s teacher workday into a 5-hour aerial adventure filled with movement, creativity, new skills, & FUN!

Throughout the day, they’ll explore silks, sling, lyra & trapeze while learning age-appropriate skills, poses, climbs, and sequences in a group maxed at 8 students to get the most individualized attention!
