A huge congratulations to Rhett Steele on an incredible track and field season! 🏃

🏅 AAU All-American – 5th Place in the 3000 meters at the AAU Club National Championships. To be considered an AAU All-American, an individual must place in the top 8 at either the AAU Club National Championship (Jacksonville, Florida) or AAU Primary National Championship (Des Moines, Iowa). Rhett finished 10th in the 1500 meters and 5th in the 3000 meters against national competition in Jacksonville, Florida.

🏆 USATF North Carolina State Champion (Fayetteville, NC)
• 1st Place – 3000 meters
• 1st Place – 1500 meters

🏆 USATF Region 3 Championships (Landover, Maryland)
• 1st Place – 3000 meters
• 2nd Place – 1500 meters

To earn a spot at the USATF National Junior Olympic Track & Field Championships, Rhett first qualified through the local USATF District and North Carolina State Championships before advancing through the highly competitive USATF Region 3 Championships (Maryland, Washington DC, Virginia, and North Carolina). His performances at each level earned him the opportunity to compete on the national stage in both the 1500-meter and 3000-meter events for USA Track & Field (USATF).

The season isn't over yet! Rhett has two major championship meets remaining:

📍 International Youth Global Championships in Landover, Maryland, where he'll compete in the 1500 meters.

📍 USATF National Junior Olympic Track & Field Championships in Los Angeles, California, where he'll compete in both the 1500 meters and 3000 meters.

🏅 More Than a Number — On and Off the Pitch

Congratulations to Rhett Steele, who took 1st place in the 1500m at the 2026 PVA Track & Field Championship (International Youth Qualifier) at the Prince George Sports & Learning Complex in Landover, MD — earning an invitation to the 2026 International Youth (Global) Championship this July.

This one means a lot to us. Rhett has built his endurance through his own training, on his own time, without ever letting it conflict with his commitment to IDF. He's put in the extra work on top of the work — and just as importantly, he shows up to IDF training prepared and ready to give his best, never running himself down at the expense of the session.

That's exactly the kind of athlete we believe in developing. At IDF, we support our players in pursuing everything they're capable of — when it's done the right way: with dedication, with discipline, and with respect for the training environment and everyone in it. Rhett is proof that the two don't have to compete. They compound.

A week inside one of Europe’s most demanding academy environments.
patel04, U18/19 player, recently completed a full training experience with Atlético de Madrid’s Academy, living in the club residence and adapting to the daily rhythm, intensity, and expectations of a professional football structure.

The biggest step was not simply being there - It was earning the chance to train with the U19 group as part of the session, competing within the same standards as the players around him.

Experiences like this matter because they expose players to the reality of the game at the next level: faster decisions, higher demands, greater discipline, and a clearer understanding of what professional environments require every day.

Our work is built around preparing players for those moments, not only technically, but mentally and personally.
