A few hours of your time or a donation. A lifetime of difference.
Cool for Wake needs volunteers this summer to deliver and install air conditioning units for seniors and families who can't afford them.
Heat isn't just uncomfortable. For some, it's dangerous. And we're not letting our neighbors suffer through the hottest months of the year without help.
You don't need any special skills. Just a willingness to show up, lend a hand, and help keep someone safe. Don't have much time? You can donate today instead!
Sound like you? We'd love to have you.

Our leadership walks the walk.
RGN Chair Taralyn Farrell and Vice Chair Lori Edwards are out delivering AC units to neighbors in need. So far, over 25 units have been delivered this summer.
But demand keeps climbing, and we need more donations to keep up.
The heat doesn't stop. Neither do we.

$50,000. One decision. Real change.
The RGN Board is proud to award The Women's Center with a $50,000 grant to provide wraparound support services for women experiencing homelessness.
Crisis intervention. Life coaching. Safe shelter. Everything women need to transition from crisis to stability.
Thank you to The Women's Center for your tireless work. This grant is our community saying: we believe in you.
Together, we're building a community where everyone has a safe place to call home.

We're not just failing to build enough. We're losing ground.
Wake County loses between 400 and 550 affordable housing units every year. And while those units disappear, demand keeps climbing.
That's families priced out of their neighborhoods. That's working people who can't afford to live in the community they serve. That's seniors on fixed incomes forced to choose between rent and groceries.
We can't solve the housing crisis overnight. But we can make sure the families who need help right now don't fall through the cracks.
That's why RGN partners with organizations like The Carrying Place, Hope Center at Pullen, and The Women's Center to provide stable housing and support for our most vulnerable neighbors.
The need is growing. But so is our commitment to meeting it.

Ashley Quinn is a transactional giver to RGN, and she loves it for three reasons:
First, when we all give together, our impact multiplies. One donation becomes 100. One voice becomes a chorus.
Second, RGN doesn’t just take donations and hope for the best. They partner with high-quality organizations that are actively fighting housing insecurity right here in our community. Every dollar has a clear purpose.
And third, the leadership gets it. They’re excited. They’re committed. And that energy is contagious.
Whether you give once or every single closing, you’re part of something bigger. You’re part of a community that’s decided housing insecurity doesn’t have to be our reality.

5 AC units. 5 families who'll sleep easier this summer.
A huge thank you to Barbara Abdalqader for delivering air conditioning units to neighbors in need through Cool for Wake.
When temperatures climb into the 90s and beyond, air conditioning isn't just about comfort. For seniors, families with young children, and people with health conditions, it can be the difference between safe and dangerous.
Barbara, you didn't just drop off AC units. You gave families relief, safety, and peace of mind during the hottest months of the year.
Thank you for showing up for our community.

A home makeover changes everything.
A huge thank you to Liz Toth, EXP Realty for sponsoring the 132nd Home Makeover for a family transitioning to stable housing at Family Promise.
Think about that number. 132 families. 132 fresh starts. 132 apartments transformed from empty spaces into homes where families can rebuild their lives.
Liz, your generosity means a family walked into a fully furnished apartment, ready for them. Beds made. Kitchen stocked. A place that feels like home from day one.
This is what community looks like. Thank you for being part of it.

Board Member Spotlight: Sharon Gupton
"We live in a great community, and everyone in it deserves to have a comfortable, safe place to rest their head at night. I'm serving on the RGN Board because their efforts in the community bring hope and help to so many!"
Sharon gets it. Safe housing isn't a luxury. It's a foundation. And when that foundation is unstable, everything else falls apart.
That's why she's committed to RGN's mission of making sure every neighbor in our community has access to stable, affordable housing. Because when families have a safe place to call home, they can focus on everything else: jobs, education, health, rebuilding.
Sharon, thank you for your leadership, your heart, and your belief that everyone deserves a place to rest their head at night.
