Maple Leaf Pageant Information
Please share the following details regarding the upcoming Maple Leaf Pageant with interested students!
Eligibility: Queen contestants must be in 9th–12th grade and either attend Carthage schools or be homeschooled with a Carthage address.
Registration Deadline: October 1st
How to Apply: Applications and sponsorship fees must be submitted directly to the Chamber of Commerce.
Registration Form: Contestants can access the registration form using the qr code below.

This week CHS & CTC Counselors are wrapping up Small Group Senior Meetings for the Class of 2027! We have had wonderful conversations with our students about their plans for after high school and taking the next steps. Here is a reminder of some of the important upcoming items seniors should be working on!

Homecoming tickets will go on sale, Monday, September 21st! Please go to Myschooldance.com to create a student and parent account. This is where tickets are purchased.

Make sure you meet the 90% attendance requirement!
For Homecoming, that means students may have NO MORE THAN 2 ABSENCES in order to attend.

My School Dance — IMPORTANT PLEASE READ
After you create your account and purchase your ticket, you MUST complete BOTH the Student and Parent Forms!
1. Complete the Student Form
Log back into My School Dance and complete/sign all required student forms.
2. Complete the Parent Form
Your parent/guardian will receive an email with a link to complete and sign their form. Make sure they complete it!
3. Check Your Ticket
Once BOTH forms are completed, you will be able to access your dance ticket.
IMPORTANT: If the Student and Parent Forms are not completed, you will not be able to access your ticket later. Make sure both forms are completed before the dance!
Please make sure you meet the attendance requirement and complete all required forms before Homecoming.

We want to give a BIG shout-out to our CHS students: Jonah Barrett, Lyssette Witherspoon, River McCahon and Lindsey Reyes Padilla, who represented Carthage High School so well today at the COC Principal Meeting!

Our students had the opportunity to present to the COC principals about CHS Link Crew and share how this program helps our students build connections, support one another, and create a stronger school community.

We are incredibly proud of the confidence, professionalism, and enthusiasm they displayed. Thank you for representing CHS and showing our COC colleagues what makes our students and our school so special!

Science in Action at CHS!

This past week, Mrs. Bass, Mrs. Ch*****ne, and Mr. Kelly’s Biology students stepped into the role of environmental scientists as they investigated just how hot our athletic surfaces can get.

Students applied the scientific method to a real-world question by asking questions, collecting evidence, analyzing data, and using their findings to make informed recommendations.

We are incredibly proud of the curiosity, collaboration, and critical thinking our students demonstrated throughout this investigation!

Friday 9/4 is the home opener for our CHS Tiger Football team. We hope everyone is ready to SHOW UP & SHOW OUT! Let's cheer on our Tigers to VICTORY!

Kick off is set for 7:00pm. Don't forget about our Carthage High School Athletic Booster Club Tail Gate before the game. Reminder that our offerings in the concessions stand will be limited due to the extreme heat.
