Going blonde isn't just an appointment-it's an investment in your look, your confidence, and your hair health. But the real work starts after you leave my chair!
Here is how to protect your investment and keep that color salon-fresh for weeks:
1. Invest in Professional Aftercare
Drugstore shampoos contain harsh sulfates that strip toner and leave hair brassy. Use color-safe, sulfate-free products recommended by your stylist.
2. Turn Down the Heat
Blonde hair is more delicate. Always use a heat protectant, keep your tools under 350°F, and avoid hot water in the shower.
3. Bond Builders > Everything
Lightening changes the internal structure of your hair. Weekly bond-repair or deep-conditioning treatments keep strands strong, soft, and break-free.
4. Don't Overuse Purple Shampoo
Purple shampoo neutralizes yellow, but overusing it turns blonde dull, dark, and dry.
Swap it in every 2-3 washes, not every day!
5. Book Your Toner Refreshes
You don't always need a full highlight session!
A gloss/toner refresh every 4-6 weeks keeps your shade bright and reflective between major appointments.
