π Reconnect 180 is proud to support Team Purple Devotion and the 2026 Walk for Epilepsy! π
Part of building stronger communities is simply showing up for one another, especially when someone is facing a battle that many of us may never fully understand.
On Saturday, September 19th, our community will come together at Virginia Lake Park in Reno to walk in support of individuals and families impacted by epilepsy and seizures.
Weβre especially honored to support Team Purple Devotion as they walk for Madison, and walk for everyone whose life has been touched by epilepsy. π
At Reconnect 180, we believe that no one should have to walk through lifeβs challenges alone. Whether we are talking about reentry, recovery, health, family, or simply navigating difficult seasons, community matters. Compassion matters. Showing up matters.
If youβre able, come out, join the walk, support the team, or make a contribution. Every person who shows up helps remind these families that they are seen, supported, and surrounded by a community that cares.π

π Major Speaker Announcement! π
We are thrilled to announce that James Dzurenda, Director of the Nevada Department of Corrections, will be joining us as a speaker at the Western Region Reentry Summit 2026.
Director Dzurenda brings nearly four decades of correctional leadership experience, having served in roles ranging from correctional officer to Commissioner of the Connecticut Department of Correction, First Deputy Commissioner for the New York City Department of Correction, and now Director of the Nevada Department of Corrections.
Throughout his distinguished career, he has overseen some of the nation's largest correctional systems, managed complex operations involving thousands of staff and incarcerated individuals, and led innovative initiatives, including programs for people with serious mental health needs that later became national models.
His experience spans institutional operations, community supervision, criminal justice policy, reentry, public safety, and system reform. As the leader of Nevada's correctional system, Director Dzurenda brings a unique perspective on the challenges and opportunities facing corrections and reentry today.
We are honoured to welcome one of the most experienced correctional leaders in the United States to Reno this October and look forward to the insights he will share with attendees.

π¨ KEYNOTE ANNOUNCEMENT π¨
We are excited to announce that Adam Clausen will be joining us as a Keynote Speaker at the 2026 Western Region Reentry Summit.
At just 24 years old, Adam was sentenced to 213 years in federal prison with no possibility of parole. What could have been the end of his story instead became the beginning of an extraordinary journey of transformation, leadership, and impact.
During more than two decades in federal custody, Adam maintained an exemplary disciplinary record, completed more than 100 rehabilitation programs, became a certified life coach and fitness instructor, and founded the first life coaching program within the Federal Bureau of Prisons. Through this work, he trained more than 100 incarcerated peer coaches and helped create a culture of hope, accountability, and resilience.
In 2020, Adam was granted Compassionate Release under the First Step Act in recognition of his extraordinary rehabilitation. Five years later, he achieved a milestone few could have imagined: appointment to the U.S. Sentencing Commission's Sentence Impact Advisory Group, where he helps inform discussions about federal sentencing policy and the experiences of people directly impacted by the justice system.
Today, Adam is Co-Founder and Co-CEO of Legacy Impact Group, Co-Founder and CTO of Legacy Impact Technologies, and Co-Founder and Chairman of the Legacy Impact Foundation. His work focuses on helping justice-impacted individuals develop the skills, habits, and support systems needed to successfully return home and thrive.
We are honored to welcome Adam to Reno this October and cannot wait for attendees to hear his remarkable perspective on rehabilitation, redemption, leadership, and second chances.
