It’s time to name that park! 🏞️
Nestled along the banks of the Carson River, this Nevada State Park is home to the remains of an 1861 mill from the Comstock mining boom, scenic fishing opportunities, and a cozy 10-site campground.
But can you name it? Drop your guesses down below 👇
Extra credit if you can name the historic mill ruins found within the park.
We’re going to need to print new Park Passports…
Could you see what he missed?
Announcement coming July 1, 2026.
Free Adventure Day is back! 🚵🏼♂️🏊♀️🥾
On Saturday, June 13, entrance fees will be waived at ALL Nevada State Parks, making it the perfect time to get outside and explore your favorite places.
The day also coincides with Nevada Department of Wildlife Free Fishing Day, meaning you can fish without a Nevada fishing license wherever fishing is permitted.
NOTE: Visitors who reserve day-use access at Sand Harbor or Big Bend of the Colorado for June 13 will automatically receive a refund of their entrance fees. Camping, boating, reservation, and other applicable fees still apply.

Rye Patch Resevoir, located in Rye Patch State Recreation Area, has been placed under a HAB Watch Advisory due to a possible Harmful Algae Bloom.
Visual assessments have indicated a possible bloom. Water tests are currently being conducted by the Nevada Division of Environmental Protection (NDEP). These toxic algae can cause serious health issues for humans and animals.
If you see water that looks discolored or smells bad, stay away. Pets should be kept away from all water bodies under a HAB advisory.
