Looking for experienced diesel mechanic.

Total Diesel has an immediate opportunity for a full-time Diesel Tractor Mechanic at our Carol stream, IL service center. Responsible for day-to-day equipment maintenance on the fleet equipment consisting of preventative maintenance and minor to major repairs to Class A Trucks and trailers.. Diesel engine experience is required. Experience with diagnostics and troubleshooting a must.

Requirements / Qualifications:
2+ years of Diesel Mechanic experience preferred
Experience in preventive maintenance of Cummins & Detroit & Volo engines
Experience with AC and Electrical
Must be able to handle major repairs
Experience in both Tractor and Trailer PMs and repairs
Have the ability to lift 60lbs
Must have own tools

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
- Perform all levels of preventive maintenance services
- Repair trucks and related equipment in a timely and efficient manner
- Inspect brake systems, steering mechanisms, wheel bearings and other important parts to ensure that they are in proper working condition
- Perform routine maintenance such as changing oil, checking batteries and lubricating equipment and machinery
- Responsible for repairing damage to containers, trailers, and chassis.
- Replacing lights
- Tire repair
- Landing gear repair
- Preventative maintenance / running repair / brakes / suspension
