Due to popular requests we have added 2 additional drop lengths to our Drop tube.
Drop-Tube #1
We are now making a Drop-Tube right here on top of Polecat Mountain, USA. This drop tube is made from solid maple for the 5”x 9” base and stand, finished with Watco® Tung Oil for a nice appearance and as a high-quality wood finish. The funnel is a genuine Satern® made from aluminum and brass, and it is connected to a 12" ,26” or 36” BRASS tube plus approximately 2” for drop length
Another Buffalo Tough product from Buffalo Shooting Sticks!

We recommend a great article by Scott Elliott in the just-released Single-Shot-Rifle-Journal’s March/April 2026 issue on the inaugural Single Shot Rimfire National Rifle Match held at the Ben Avery Shooting facility in January 2026. I predict this match will become one of the premier 22 Rimfire matches in the country. It is not just a match; it is a celebration of the art, history, and culture of single-shot rifles.

Discover our new Bench Rest Sticks, proudly made atop Polecat Mountain, Georgia, USA. Made from Solid Ash treated with high-quality tung oil. Each set comes with a generous 1” wide barrel-rest surface. Heavy-duty, you bet, our Bench rest sticks have an approximate weight of 8 pounds with a base dimension of 26” x 6”. The adjustment height ranges from a minimum to a maximum of 6” in height. We manufacture our sticks to precise dimensions of 1” x 1 7/8” inches, rather than using the typical nominal 1 “x 2” measurements. This provides a larger surface area for the gun rest, providing more stability and rigidity. Each of our sticks is handmade from premium materials. Adjustment holes are ½” in diameter and equally spaced. We find that these have a lower chance of slipping if all fasteners are properly tightened (some slippage is possible) than those with long grooves, which also weaken the wood. We offer felt strips, leather covers, and leather strips as optional due to the shooters’ personal preferences.

We don't often come across products that prompt us to share them on Facebook, but SPG Sales's RIFLE RESTORER is a standout. My recently acquired Shiloh Sharps 1874, with its previous use, needed some attention. Following Larry's suggestion at SPG Sales, I gave this product a try. Let's just say the results speak for themselves and it's fantastic!

November 22, River Bend Gun Club, Dawsonville, GA.. Saturday morning at River Bend started out with a bang (of thunder) and then a downpour gully-washer! Fortunately, it only lasted about 20 minutes before we could send the target setters out to set up for the match. Then it blew over, cleared off, and turned out to be a beautiful November day in the 70’s! We noticed that something BIG was different on the Range from the last time we shot here… the Club had contracted to clear out the whole bottom area in front of the pavilion up to the 200m berm! It’s something I haven’t seen in the 13 years I’ve been shooting here… a clean bottom area! We’ll have to put up a wind flag at the bottom to replace the natural wind indicators! Many thanks to the Club management for this major improvement for the Silhouette Range. We had 13 shooters for the one-day Silhouette match - 5 of those were from Tennessee, and they helped make for a good match! There wasn’t much wind, and the way the bottom was cleared out, I thought it would create a wind tunnel up the range, but it didn’t seem to change that much… just the usual mirage switches, but you did have to pay attention to the wind flags. Of the 13 shooters, only 4 were shooting Scopes. The Match Winner - Alan Rauber was shooting Iron sights with a score of 27 and was one of only 2 shooters with 10 Pigs. Al Dunn and Doug Gazaway both had a score of 23, so 1st and 2nd place Irons were settled by a coin toss that Al won. Kevin Hurst was 3rd Iron with a 21. Pete Romanik was 1st Scope with a 23, Rick Gardner (from Tenn) was 2nd Scope with a 22, and John Mankin (from Tenn) was 3rd Scope with a 17 and had the other 10 Pig pin! For what seemed like great conditions, we didn’t have a Master score today or for last month’s two-day Silhouette match. One of our target setters couldn’t be here this weekend, so many thanks to Alan Rauber’s grandson for filling in and doing a great job. There is no Silhouette match for December at River Bend, so our next match is scheduled for January 24th (weather permitting!)… I wish all of you a Merry Christmas! Be Safe!
