Stark County Jr. Fair Poultry

*Exhibition Poultry*

Now that we are in to June, you should have all your exhibition projects, in your possession. Pullets and young fancy projects should have hatched before April 17th of this year.

Pullorum testing is August 9th, 1 to 3. Pullorum testing is MANDATORY for exhibition chicken projects. If you cannot make it, you need to reach out to Stephanie ASAP. There will be NO testing during check-in at the fair. You will have to make arrangements prior to August 9th. We do not have time to be chasing people down.

*Exhibition AND Market Poultry*

Skill-a-thon is July 25th, 8 am to 2 pm, in the exhibition hall, at the fairgrounds. Skillathon is also Mandatory to show at fair.

Book turn in is August 9th, 1 to 3 for ALL poultry projects. (During the pullorum testing clinic) completed books are also Mandatory to show at fair.

If you need a make up skillathon, reach out! We are still working out the details.

*Cloverbuds!*

Pullorum testing for exhibition chickens is August 9th, 1 to 3, at the fairgrounds. This is MANDATORY. We are working on an online sign up, watch for it. These birds should be in your possession. Can be young, or old, but must have been hatched before April 17th if this year. Any questions, reach out!

*Skill-a-thon*

The all species Skillathon is July 25th, 8 am to 2 pm, in the exhibition hall. There will be 3 stations for each species, and an interview. Use this study guide. You will need to know breed, feeds, and diseases (parasites). More specific info to follow.

Project books are due August 9th, in the Art Hall, from 1 to 3.

POULTRY ONLY MAKE-UP will be held on August 9th, during the exhibition pullorum testing clinic, 1 to 3 pm.

We will be answering questions as they come up. This is new for all of us, but we are excited for the potential of freeing up days in August. Thank you!!
