Captain Calvin Shoop, an F/A-18 Hornet pilot from Centerburg, Ohio, trained in Guam last month on expeditionary operations, fighter integration, and air-to-ground ordnance deliveries.

Always Ready πͺ
Reserve Marines with Military Police Company C, 4th Law Enforcement Battalion, conducted a field exercise at Muscatatuck Urban Training Center, Indiana. Marines participated in a variety of training, keeping them ready to be mobilized for active duty in times of war, national emergency, or contingency operations.

Lance Cpl. Isabelle Hutmacher, a native of Ohio, joined the Marine Corps in April 2023 as a combat graphics specialist. She joined out of Akron Marines, and currently serves with Headquarters Battalion, 2d Marine Division. She was able to video a fire integration support control exercise, showcasing fire integration support teams and their effectiveness and lethality.

Integrated Capabilities
π Camp Lejeune, North Carolina (Dec. 11, 2025)
Lance Cpl. Robert Lemley, an Ohio native and infantry rifleman with 2nd Light Armored Reconnaissance (LAR) Battalion, 2nd Marine Division, participated in a TOW missile range. The range integrated the long range standoff capabilities of the TOW missile and the battlespace advantages of LAR scouts like Lemley.

Cpl. Nathan Arnold, an native and a rifleman with Animal Company, Battalion Landing Team 1st Battalion, 7th Marine Regiment, 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit, performed rifle drills with an M4 carbine aboard the USS America. Marines participated in the training to sustain marksmanship fundamentals and increase technical and tactical proficiency.

A U.S. Marine with 3d Reconnaissance Battalion, 3d Marine Division recovers a weighted ammo can from the sea floor during a search and recovery dive drill. The training enhanced the Marines proficiency and capabilities for specialized insert and extract operations.
