Spectrum 2 is this Friday at The Hub from 5 to 10.
It’s a big group show where everyone made 6x6 paintings that all link up into one huge color gradient. It looks sick in person.
I ended up making 12 pieces. Stuff I just felt like painting. A Galley Boy from Swensons. A clear plastic sq**rt gun. A Game Boy Color. A Pikachu bouncy ball. The Princess Diana Beanie Baby. A bunch of things with weird textures or memories attached. It was honestly just fun to paint.
If you are around Canton, definitely come check this out.
See the art, talk to people, eat something good afterward.

The experiment has gone terribly wrong…
The monsters have escaped the lab.
The robots have rebelled.
And now they’re battling it out in the gallery.
Over 60 original works of monstrous and mechanical mayhem will be unleashed tomorrow at The Hub.
Plus, a mural wall awaits you. Declare your allegiance! Paint your mark for Team Clang or Team Fang.

✈️ It’s National Aviation Day, and I can finally share this project.
and I were invited by in collaboration with to paint real wingtips from a decommissioned plane.
I usually paint darker oil paintings, but this time I wanted something lighthearted. For whatever reason, one of the recurring images in my head has always been a garden gnome riding a lawn flamingo like the Lone Ranger on Silver. It’s odd, I know. But, turning that image into a finished piece was a lot of fun.
Big thanks to Akron-Canton airport (especially David Regula), the MAPS Air Museum (especially the gentlemen who built the wingtip stands), Meagan for sharing the the biggest studio space ever with me, and for the colors that made this piece glow (not sponsored, but I wish). And of course, my mom and for showing up - and putting up with me.

I take no pleasure in this. My 7 year old self is mourning one of my first heroes. He wasn’t perfect, and he didn’t live up to what I imagined him to be. But no matter what, Hulk Hogan was a foundational part of my childhood. I wore out VHS tapes of Wrestlemanias and had every toy. His influence is woven into who I am.
Rest in peace, Brother.

Hi, sometimes words are hard for me. When I titled this piece “The Shrieking Hour”, I had no idea how appropriate it would be.
