Camp Point Public Library

Happy Friday!

* Monday was Lego League where our challenge was to build a space rover! Afterwards, we had free building where we used some of the new Lego animals!

* Tuesday morning was Story Time with Ms. Kelsi and our theme was camping! We read “This Book is a Campsite!” by Lenna Gray and “Let Us Play I Spy Camping!” We then went on a scavenger hunt outside where we had to find items such as pinecones, spider web, rocks, and big leaves. We then ventured back inside to make a campfire using tissue paper as our fire and popsicle sticks as the logs.

* Thursday morning was STEAM where we sang songs and did matching motions using our hands, scarves, and different instruments.

In the afternoon, we had Art Adventures where we created yarn pumpkins by blowing up a balloon to the size of the pumpkin we wanted and then crisscrossed the yarn covered in glue around the balloon. Once the glue has completely dried, the balloon can be popped, and the yarn will hold the shape of the balloon making it look like a pumpkin! If you were one of our patrons at Art Adventures, please add a picture of your finished pumpkin. We would love to see them!
