Congratulations to our Week 2 Athletes of the Week!

Taking the honor in Smallbore is Mount Aloysius junior Kayla Trinkle, who fired a career high 583 against NCAA Champions West Virginia this weekend for their postal against Schreiner. Trinkle’s score marks the first time in over 5 years that a Mid-Atlantic R***e Conference athlete has eclipsed 580 in the event, and sets a new Mount Aloysius College program record by nine points.

MIT’s Eleanor Yang also had herself a day in the Engineers’ season opener at Norwich, setting the Baroffio’s R***e Range record with a 587 in air r***e to capture the Athlete of the Week award. Her 587 is also a career high and just three points off the MIT program record.

Congratulations to the first MAC Athletes of the Week for 2026-2027!

Grant Miller takes the honor for not only the first Smallbore Athlete of the Week award this season, but also the first-ever for Indiana Tech in their inaugural season as a collegiate r***e program. Miller fired a score of 560 in the event at the Warriors' September 19th match at the University of Akron to earn the accolade. His 560 mark is a strong start for the rookie's career, as less than ten athletes in the conference achieved such a score in smallbore last season.

For air r***e, Benjamin Roche earns the Athlete of the Week title after firing a score of 588 at the Hillsdale Chargers' match on September 19th at the Civilian Marksmanship Program. This marks both the first career award for Roche and the first Air R***e Athlete of the Week honor for a Hillsdale College athlete. Roche heads into his junior season, but first in the MAC, looking to add more accolades to an impressive resume which includes national titles in smallbore and aggregate.
