This committee strives to increase fan support and participation for all MIT varsity teams.

Established in 1995 after being mandated by NCAA legislation, MIT's Student-Athlete Advisory Committee's mission is to support, communicate, promote, and serve. To aid in meeting the goals set out by the mission statement, the SAAC is divided into three subcommittees:

Julie Soriero to Receive 2018 NCAA President's Pat Summitt Award Julie Soriero, athletics director at MIT, will be the 2018 recipient of the NCAA President’s Pat Summitt Award, making her the first Division III administrator and second person overall to receive the honor. Soriero will accept the award Jan. 18 at the 2018 NCAA Convention in Indianapolis.

At the SAAC Spotlight Rifle event, MIT finished second of five teams. They finished 41 points behind Penn State but their result earned them the Sectional title.
