You may have noticed the red paint on the street at the intersection of Amherst Street and Danforth Street near McCormick Hall/W4 as part of the ongoing construction.

If you’re driving through the intersection, please stop and proceed slowly. If you’re walking, please read the signage and use the designated pedestrian areas. Bikes and scooters should also follow the posted signage.

Please use extra caution as everyone gets used to the new traffic pattern. We want everyone to stay safe.

Last night, officers from our Evening Shift spent some time with members of the Delta Kappa Epsilon (DKE) fraternity over dinner. We appreciate the invitation and the chance to connect with the group. Thanks for having us, DKE!

Don't miss the annual Bike Auction today, September 18th from 10AM-2PM at 290 Albany Street Shuttle lot in Cambridge. The lot opens at 9:30AM for early birds to preview.

Officer Allen ran into some students from MIT’s Improbable AI Lab on Killian Court testing out their human-like robot. She had to take a few minutes to see the robot in action.

Hispanic Heritage Month is from September 15 to October 15. This month is an opportunity to recognize the rich history and contributions of Hispanic and Latino communities. We’re proud to serve a diverse MIT community and celebrate the many backgrounds that make it stronger.

Tonight, we were invited to speak with residents at Sydney Pacific about campus safety. We always appreciate the opportunity to connect with MIT students, both undergraduate and graduate, and talk about ways to stay safe on campus.
