"In her article titled, “But I’m a Cheerleader: Q***r in Content and Production,” Syd Martin analyzes the artificiality of the sets, stating that, “Throughout the film, as the characters try harder and harder to adhere to the roles they are given, the production design becomes more and more artificial-looking until, at their graduation ceremony, even their clothes are made of plastic." Martin then goes on to talk about the ho******ic symbolism in the film’s set and prop design, and how this alludes to the idea in the film that your sexuality cannot be changed or “corrected,” and that repressing your identity will lead it to come out in other ways."

QB is seeking a Volunteer Coordinator to round out our Board! We are a team of six and are looking for that special someone to be our 7th 😏

As Volunteer Coordinator, you'd take a lead role in volunteer recruitment, volunteer education/training, scheduling and managing volunteers, and working with the Board as a whole to steer the overall work of the nonprofit. The amount of time you'd need to commit is around 10 hours per month, depending on what projects are underway.
