Bella has been on my wish list to carry and I am so excited to offer a curated selection of their beautiful mouldings. Bright colors, raku-like finish, vintage styles, unique finishes and patterns, and so much more!
Adding these to our other beautiful moulding selections creates so many new design possibilities.

Sometimes a simple mat opening doesn't cut it.
I have a CMC now, which opens up a realm of possibilities for custom cut outs on mats.
This was an adventure to create and the frame moulding was a journey in itself! It had recently been discontinued, and luckily I was able to source enough of it by reaching out to other frame shops to see if they had any remnant in stock. A big piece, this clocks in at around 46"x34"

After acquiring everything from another frame shop that closed due to retirement, we have an overload of odd frames, precut mats, and more!

Exciting things coming in the new year:
Building out a more efficient work space over the next couple weeks, bringing in equipment and tools so we can offer more possibilities in custom designs, with highest consideration for conservation standards.

Exciting Announcement!
Last month the son of the owners of Butte Frame Shop, a wonderful place that had been operating in Butte for decades, came in and said that his parents were retiring after many many years of running their shop, and asked if I would be interested in buying the business. After talking it out with my partner , looking over what we would be acquiring, we decided it was an opportunity that we needed to, nay, wanted to, greet with open arms. We came to a deal that benefited both parties and I am happy to say a little bit of the history and spirit of The Butte Frame Shop will live on. The current location of Square Peg Custom Framing was once the location of Butte Frame Shop back when they also did photography, before it was Books and Books. I feel honored to carry on this spirit and am ever so grateful to the Butte Frame Shop family.
One of the best items in the acquisition is a Wizard CMC (Computerized Mat Cutter). This tool opens up a world of possibilities fo what I can offer in custom framing and to say I am over the moon is putting it mildly.
I worked with a Wizard CMC for ten years before moving here, but the purchase of one just hadn't been a possibility. Until now!
On December 1, we shook hands on the deal and I've been busy packing up their shop before work, after work, making hauls on the weekends.
