The Boulevard department will have the monthly business meeting at 7pm, after the Trustees meeting at the Boulevard station 1900 s. Franklin.

This is a public meeting and anyone can join!

Tonight's training we went over drafting and jet siphoning operations with multiple departments. Thanks to Rocker Montana VFD , Race Track Volunteer Fire Dept. , Big Butte, Centerville, Terra Verde Volunteer Fire Department , and all members that were able to make it. Doing these trainings helps us get to know each other better and also helps us sharpen our skills to become more efficient and safer in the time of an emergency.

5-16 --Boulevard was toned out to assist Whitehall Fire around 215 this morning to bring our tender. Crews are still on scene assisting.

Boulevard is back to the station.

On 5-15 Boulevard was called to assist Butte Fire Department on a wildland Fire on Herman Gulch Rd.

Fire is contained and out.

..FIRE WEATHER WATCH IN EFFECT FROM WEDNESDAY AFTERNOON THROUGH WEDNESDAY EVENING...

The National Weather Service in Missoula MT has issued a Fire Weather Watch.

* AFFECTED AREA...Fire Weather Zones 110 and 111.

* TIMING...From Wednesday afternoon through Wednesday evening.

* WINDS...Southwest winds 30 to 40 mph with gusts up to 60 mph.

* RELATIVE HUMIDITY...Relative Humidity between 13 to 23 percent.

* IMPACTS...Any fires that develop will spread rapidly. Outdoor
burning is not recommended.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Fire Weather Watch means that critical fire weather conditions are possible during the valid watch time. These conditions could promote the rapid spread of wildfires which could become life-threatening.

Follow all fire restrictions. Avoid activities that could cause
sparks.

Butte Silver-Bow Training Center had their annual Basic Firefighter Class for new firefighters and also members with volunteer departments throughout the county.

These men and women go through lots of training from learning about PPE and what the 3 layers of turnout do and how they perform, how the SCBA system works to provide air to firefighter, water flows, pump operations, offensive and defensive fire tactics, second story search and rescue, wildland course, and much more.

We are very fortunate to have great instructors in multiple departments that take time to help educate these firefighters, along with FSTS Fire School Instructors to provide us with proper education for a better and safer response for our community in the time of need.

Last night's training we refreshed on operations on drafting from tank to pump to drafting without shutting down operations and keeping a water supply to handlines and deck gun.
