There’s a song I’ve been listening to and the lyrics say “How can there be more if you’ve already been so good? How could there be more if you’ve already been so kind?” And I’m really feeling those words lately.

We’ve gone through so many seasons of life…ministry, grief, kids, transitions, and now this big adventure and sometimes I feel like we’ve run the tank dry. We’ve already asked God for so much and he’s already given so much. Surely he expects that by this point we should be able to take care of things ourself.

But I am so thankful that this isn’t true. Because we need him more than ever and he is SO steadfast, SO good, SO kind, and he doesn’t run out of blessings to give. Even when I hesitate to ask, he still provides. Even when I feel unworthy of any more recognition, he delights in seeing me and walking me through each part of this life.

I hope that someday we can share the extent of how God is providing for this homestead and our family. We are holding on to hope that he’ll bring us through this adventure. And then I’m sure there will be even more to hope in Him for.

If you’ve ever been in the renovation process, you know how good it feels when things start moving forward instead of backward. And I’ll tell you it feels good to have some walls! (And windows!)
