The gospel doesn't simply add Jesus to our lives—it dethrones every rival god. As the power of God collides with the gods of culture in Ephesus, counterfeit spirituality is exposed, believers repent, idols lose their grip, and a city begins to change.
The same is true today. Whatever competes for our affection, identity, security, or worship will ultimately leave us trapped and empty. But when Jesus takes His rightful place on the throne of our lives, we experience the freedom, joy, and purpose that can only be found in Him.

you get all the praise 🙌🏻
Busy isn’t the mission. It’s easy to have a calendar full of church stuff and still miss the thing Jesus actually called us to do: make disciples. What’s your next step?

The gospel spreads when disciples make disciples. As Paul, Priscilla, and Aquila invest in the spiritual growth of others, we see that disciple-making is helping people take their next step with Jesus. Through ordinary relationships and intentional investment, God uses disciples who make disciples to unleash gospel movements that transform communities and advance His Kingdom.

Paul arrives in Corinth discouraged, intimidated, and exhausted after mixed responses to the gospel in Athens. Facing a culture shaped by pride, immorality, and resistance, he discovers that God meets discouragement with two gifts: people and presence.
Through Christian community and the promise, “I am with you,” followers of Jesus are reminded to keep speaking truth, stay faithful in difficult places, and trust that God is working in ways they cannot yet see.
If you’re following Jesus alone, you won’t follow Jesus for long.

Jesus invites us to come as we are, but it’s impossible to be near Jesus and stay the same. He changes us!
what are your idols?

Every person builds their life around something, and what begins as ideas about meaning, identity, and purpose often becomes the object of our worship. Acts 17 reveals how easily those ideas turn into idols, as people look to created things to carry the weight only God can bear.
Paul models a better way by engaging people with truth and grace, then redirecting their worship to the one true God—Creator, Sustainer, and Savior—revealed in Jesus. The invitation is to turn from what cannot save and give wholehearted worship to the only One who can.
