It’s with great pride that we congratulate our dear client Sarah .rd on the birth of her baby boy!
“I can officially say that a birth center has proven to me that there’s nothing in life I can’t do. I met myself in so many forms on that journey and went to depths of myself I didn’t know existed.
I’m fiercer than ever yet simultaneously a little softer. I’m stronger than I realized yet this little boy makes me weak in the knees. I’m in awe of my body yet I knew she could do exactly what was asked of her.
I’ve never loved anything as much as I love being a mom to him. If I liked being a dietitian and a successful career, being a mom is something my soul was literally way more designed to do.
Q&A Questions I recieved:
What are you loving about being a mom?
Everything. And I feel like I can say that because I loved so many other things before becoming a mom. I spent so much time alone, being comfortable with myself, traveling, therapy, learning who my true friends are, and all the experiences that lead me up to this point. Motherhood is a massive change. And it’s not easy, but worth it.
At any point did you want to give up going unmedicated?
No, because the only way out is through. I didn’t want to be in a hospital. Also the fact that I am so close to meeting my baby is motivation to push through any amount of pain. I also did a course on mindset for birth and heard many doulas/ midwives say that usually when you think you can’t anymore, that means baby is about to come.
I feel like unmedicated made my birth shorter and let me bounce back quicker.
I do think I had the perfect mix of doula and midwife support to really push me.”
