We photographed SoFi Stadium which is located inside LAX Bravo airspace, the most difficult location to access in all of Southern California. Note how it dwarfs the Forum seen in the background.

View of the upcoming Intermodal Transportation Facility West, which will provide 4,300 parking stalls for LAX. An Automated People Mover (APM) train will link the facility with the LAX terminal area in 2023. The 1.7 million square foot building will also house LAX's security and badging office which will provide badging needs for the 55,000 badged employees. The new SoFi stadium can be seen in the background.

Our associate, Sean Pierce, recently photographed the Los Angeles skyline for a giant photo mural that was installed at Union Bank Plaza. Using a technique called Gigapixel photography, he took multiple photos of the skyline and composited them together to create one image. The resulting 5 Gb file was high resolution enough to render small detail when viewed from up close--something that would be impossible to do if a single image were enlarged to the same size. You can see how sharp the image is from the closeup of the US Bank Tower building. The original dimensions of this mural were supposed to be 66 ft. x 7 ft., and the photo file was high enough resolution that it could have been printed at that size without losing quality.

Here's a view of The Grand, Frank Gehry's latest architectural landmark being constructed across the street from the Disney Concert Hall. The Grand will feature 400 apartments and 176,000 sq. ft. of restaurant and retail space. Developed by Related Companies and CORE USA, The Grand will be the center of the Grand Avenue development which began 40 years ago.

This time of the year is usually best for aerial photography because of unlimited visibility.

Sometimes you need extensive photoshop work to turn a mediocre photo into one that can be used for marketing.

Closeup view of the OUE Skyslide, a first-of-its-kind outdoor glass slide that’s attached to the exterior of the U.S. Bank Tower. Now closed because of the pandemic, the Skyslide is 45 feet long, about four feet wide and made entirely with 1.25-inch glass. Visitors can glide from the 70th to the 69th floor of the U.S. Bank Tower.
