Ameer Burton reminded us on Sunday that people who stayed that, not some imagined ‘ideal’ group, are exactly who’s been entrusted to build what comes next.

“The only thing stopping me from baptism was my own condemnation.”

Welcome to the family Diana 🎉

Sometimes the thing keeping us from saying yes to God isn’t His absence. It’s the belief that we’re too far gone to be reached by His grace.

This is one person’s story of redemption, surrender, and choosing to publicly declare their relationship with God:

The only thing stopping me from baptism was my own condemnation.

For three years, I convinced myself I was too far gone. Yet every week, God gave me a new chance and showed me who He saw when I could only see who I thought I was.

I am convinced God exists. I am convinced Jesus died for my sins and has never left my side.

I know life will not always be easy, but I don’t want to do it alone. I don’t want to be far from God.

There are many things I am not proud of, and seeing the work God has done in me truly humbles me.

I am grateful to God for redeeming me and giving me a new heart.

I am ready to publicly declare my relationship with God. I want to do His will, and I know His will for me is to seek Him first. 🤍

This week in our Renewal series, we’ll explore Nehemiah 3–4 and discover why the people who remain aren’t simply “what’s left” - they are the people entrusted with building what comes next. We’ll shift from simply being present to participating with our whole hearts as we ask, “What will you put your heart into building?”

Silent Saturday 🤍
The quiet in between the promise and the fulfillment.

If today feels heavy or unclear, take a moment to pause and sit in silence.
Sunday is coming.

Join us this Sunday for our Easter service and be ready to encounter Jesus!

We see that while God did not intervene at the cross, he chose something greater, an encounter, revealing that his presence can be more powerful than changing our circumstances.
Hope to see you there!
