We are only $124 away from fully funding the first Summer Ready milestone: a new water pump and four new troughs.
If just 5 people give $25, water is funded tonight.
That is a huge first step, but we still have more to raise. After this milestone, weโll have $10,699 left to reach the full $14,000 Summer Ready goal, and only 4.5 days to get there.
The next needs include pasture irrigation, seed, garden irrigation, fencing repairs, chicken coop repairs, shade, fans, cooling supplies and protected storage for feed and tools.
But first, we need to finish water.

The pump canโt keep up.
Right now, it can take more than 30 minutes to fill one trough. With more than five troughs across the sanctuary, that means hours spent just trying to keep clean water where the animals need it.

Texas summer is almost here, and we have 12 days to get the sanctuary ready.
Our Summer Ready Campaign is raising $14,000 by June 14 for water systems, pasture support, animal safety supplies, storage and repairs.
These are the practical things that help keep the animals safe, healthy and cared for when the heat settles in.

๐ผ๐ Tiny explorers, big backyard adventures!
Winding Branch Ranch is hosting its Pollinator Picnic tomorrow from 10:00โ11:30 AM! Little ones ages 0โ6 can enjoy hands-on fun learning about bees, butterflies, flowers, and other pollinators through movement, crafts, and nature play. ๐ฆโจ
Families are invited to pack a picnic and stay awhile after the lesson to explore the ranch, visit the animals, and enjoy a peaceful morning outdoors. The experience is sensory-friendly, relaxed, and designed to let kids learn through curiosity and play.
$5 supply fee per child
Children over 6 must also have a ticket and stay with their guardian.

Today, we remember those who gave their lives in service to our country.
Their courage and sacrifice are the reason so many of us are able to live freely, gather with loved ones, and enjoy moments of peace like the ones we often share here at the sanctuary.
