š My October Tip: Pay attention to the little extras!
A splash of creamer in your coffee, a few bites while making dinner, a handful of crackers, or a little something sweetāthese can be easy to overlook when tracking your macros.
Thereās nothing wrong with enjoying them--but those little extras contribute to your daily intake, and logging them can give you a clearer picture of your habits.
Practice noticing what you eat between meals. Pause, portion, and logāwithout judging yourself or aiming for perfection. š§”
Macro tracking is about building awareness so you can make choices that support your goals AND enjoy the foods you love.
With Online Macro Coaching, Iāll help you understand your numbers, troubleshoot challenges, and build habits that work in your everyday life.

January 1st gets a lot of attention, but thereās nothing magical about that date. š
Letās be honest: January in Minnesota can be a tough time to begin a whole new routine. Itās cold, the holidays have just wrapped up, and you're probably feeling tired, bloated, and ready to get back to normal. Adding an all-or-nothing resolution on top of that can feel overwhelming.
What if you started now instead?
The next few months give you a chance to learn what works for you: how to build satisfying meals, enjoy holiday favorites, and keep a few helpful habits going even when life gets busy. You donāt have to do it perfectly. Youāll simply have some practice under your belt by the time January arrives.
Thatās what Online Macro Coaching is forāsupport, guidance, and a plan that fits your real life. If youāre ready to start before the New Year, send me a DM! š¤

Letās give one of my favorite carbs a little fall appreciation: SWEET POTATOES! š š§”
Did you know?
š Sweet potatoes are a great source of carbohydrates, which provide your body with energy.
š They also contain fiber, vitamin C, and potassium.
š Their beautiful orange color comes from beta-carotene, which the body can convert into vitamin A.
š Theyāre incredibly versatileābake them, roast them, mash them or add them to soups, bowls and breakfast hashes.
Carbs arenāt something to fear. Theyāre an important part of a balanced dietāand sweet potatoes make them especially delicious.

Macro coaching is about so much more than getting a protein, carb, and fat target. Your numbers are just the starting point!
As your macro coach, I help you understand what your numbers mean, why they matter, and how to make them work in your everyday life.
Together, weāll work on things like:
š„© Learning how to build balanced meals and hit your protein goals
š½ļø Navigating dinners out, weekends, vacations and special occasions
š Making food choices that support your goals without giving up the foods you love
š Looking at your progress and making adjustments when needed
š” Troubleshooting the areas where youāre feeling stuck
š Creating realistic habits you can actually maintain
š Providing accountability, encouragement and support along the way
And maybe most importantly, I want you to learn through the process. The goal isnāt simply to follow a set of numbersāitās to better understand nutrition, become more confident in your choices, and develop habits that can stay with you long after coaching.
Your macros are not meant for you to follow forever. They will change depending on your goals and if you have been in deficit, maintaince, or surplus for a long period of time.
Knowing your macros is one thingā¦
Knowing how to live your life while reaching them? Thatās where coaching comes in.

Going out tonight?
Try this macro trick: Plan dinner FIRST.
If you know you're going out for dinner, enter or plan that meal earlier in the day.
Then build breakfast, lunch, and snacks around it.
Instead of getting to 6 PM and thinking, "Wellā¦there go my macros," you've already made room for the meal you wanted to enjoy.
A little planning can make a BIG difference. šŖš¼

YES, YOU CAN EAT THAT. Counting macros AND eating pizza?
š YES.
One of the biggest misconceptions about macro coaching is that you have to give up your favorite foods.
You donāt.
Pizza night. A birthday dinner. Dessert. Vacation. A glass of w**e. Dinner out with friends.
Macro coaching is about learning how foods can fit into the bigger picture instead of labeling everything āgoodā or ābad.ā
Because a nutrition plan that only works when life is perfect isnāt very helpful.
ā”ļø Your nutrition should fit your lifeānot the other way around.

Before you build your meal, ask:
š Whereās my protein?
Hereās one simple macro habit you can start TODAY:
When youāre planning a meal or snack, start by identifying your protein source.
Eggs š³. Greek yogurt. Cottage cheese. Chicken š. Turkey š¦. Fish š. Beef š„©. Tofu. Protein shakes.
Once youāve got your protein, build the rest of your meal around it.
TIP: Donāt save all your protein for dinner! Look for ways to spread it throughout your day.

MACRO MYTH: āIf I count macros, Iāll have to weigh my food forever.ā
š« Nope!
Tracking is a learning tool, not necessarily a lifelong assignment.
In the beginning, measuring portions can help you understand what youāre actually eating. Eventually, those numbers start turning into knowledge.
You begin recognizing what a serving of protein looks like. You know which foods help you hit your goals. You learn how to build a balanced plate. š½ļø
Thatās one of the biggest benefits of macro coaching: youāre learning skills you can take with you.
