Mitchell Ghaneie, a partner in our intellectual property practice and registered patent attorney in Jacksonville, has been accepted into the Florida Intellectual Property American Inn of Court as a barrister.

The statewide IP-focused chapter operates under the Linn Inn Alliance, one of 30 IP-focused inns within the American Inns of Court, a national organization dedicated to mentorship, professionalism, and ethics in the legal profession.

In immigration law, a writ of mandamus can compel USCIS or the U.S. Department of State to adjudicate a long-pending application, from naturalization cases past the 120-day mark to petitions closed without action. It doesn't guarantee the outcome a petitioner wants, but it can force the government to finally make a decision.
