As we prepare to celebrate 10 years of Feeding In The Midst, I can honestly say I’m overwhelmed with gratitude.

If I said I always knew exactly how we were going to fund this, make it happen, or how many families we’d be able to impact each year—I’d be lying. But every year I told my wife the same thing: we’ll make a way, and God will figure it out.

And somehow… He always did.

To our original supporters and every new supporter who joined along the way—thank you for believing in us, showing up, and helping us continue this work year after year.

This celebration belongs to all of us.

Rent is high. Groceries are higher. Childcare, gas, bills, and everyday life are stretching people thin. Many are working hard every single day and still trying to figure out how to make it all come together.
Mentally, emotionally, and financially… life has been heavy for so many in our community.

That’s why kindness matters right now.
Patience matters.
Community matters.

At Feeding In The Midst, we see firsthand that hunger doesn’t always “look” the way people expect it to. Sometimes it’s the parent skipping meals so their child can eat. Sometimes it’s someone silently struggling while trying to hold everything together.

We’re proud to announce a new partnership between Feeding in the Midst and Tyler Hill — a fighter who’s stepping into the ring for more than just a win.

Tyler is committing to donating his fight ticket proceeds to help us combat childhood hunger right here in Buffalo.

But this is bigger than one fight. Together, we’re building something deliberate, sustainable, and impactful—using his platform to bring awareness to the reality that too many children in our community don’t know where their next meal is coming from.

We are deeply grateful for the amazing generosity from our community. Huge shout out to the Fifty Fabulous Women Organizaton, our friends at Ford Basil on Walden Avenue, and our Board Members for coming together to make this a success. As of today, we’ve purchased and collected about 5,300 pounds of Thanksgiving food for those in need. If you or someone you know could benefit, please join us on Saturday, November 15 from 10am-2pm at the Metro CDC Delavan-Grider Community Center for Thanksgiving essentials, plus warm hats and gloves for youth and adults.

Thank you to those who have volunteered on the event day to assist with sorting, distribution, and drop-off coordination.

Sharing this message with friends, family, and coworkers to extend our reach is very important.

Our Thanksgiving drive is set for November 15, 2025, and we’re aiming to bless at minimum 200 families with the essentials they need.
Right now, donations aren’t keeping up with demand. Local caseworkers and families who count on us are reaching out every day.

Dropping off practical items/ship off of the registry linked below—non-perishables, warm clothing, and basic household essentials. Pick up is available around the Buffalo Area!

The holiday season is just around the corner, and we’re gearing up for our Thanksgiving giveaway! Fresh/Frozen items like potatoes and Turkey we will wait for closer to the event date! Which is set for November 15, 2025. This year, we’re aiming to provide 150-200 families with all their Thanksgiving essentials, and we need your help to make it happen!
